I guess if you haven't been out for a looooong time, climbing on a single rock and each other must be pretty exciting.

:D

:D

Glad to see you guys back in the dirt.

Nice pics. Glad to see you guys getting out again. Your both to do Fordyce with us 8/14 right? Is that Sean in the green xj? It doesn't look like him. Did Ranger Stu stay off your back? How was PC, I haven't been there in awhile, especially with all the talk on Pirate of people being cited for not having mud flaps/flares. How did everything go? Nice flex shots. Did PC get all the rocks they were going to get?

I'm still not doing Fordyce on 8/14. That's Sean's little brother (who tore up the rock garden btw). I don't know if it was "Ranger Stu" or not, but I got stopped 20 seconds inside the paystation (nice of them to let me pay first  ) but after some heavy pleading, I got off w/ only a warning. Everything went pretty well... we both need to add a couple bumpstops, etc. They haven't got anything new, but it's fun when you haven't wheeled in over a year!

Yeah, it's too bad they give you a hard time there. I like going there in Winter when the local rock trails are closed for the season. I love the mud, since I'm from the Midwest originally and I go usually after it rains or during a rain storm. Maybe I can rig something up to go there. Did they give you a lecture on not having mud flaps or not having adequate fender coverage, or both. After the 14th Fordyce run, I'm busy the rest of the month, but would like to schedule a Con, Fordyce, Barrett trip from Sept. How long/when do you guys run the Con/Fordyce in the season before it usually is closed due to snow? I know that is a hard question and depends on when the white stuff falls, but when does the rock season usually end? What size tires are you guys running? Did you get that spare tire you were looking for Billy?Troy

Didn't get the spare. I'm on 35's still and Sean's beast sits on 38s.

Your rigs are lookin' good. Those 38's are just so cool looking on an xj, but I think I'm very happy with my 35's on my stuff, especially with the dana 30/44 combo I have. Was the arguement at PC more about not having mud flaps or no fender flares?

He didn't mention flares... just flaps.

Did he say he's big bad Stu??? :D

No, definatly did not.

That guys is the 1 people talk about on Pirate. They are really cracking down on people it seems. I remember just paying my $4 and having some fun. I carry a hose, so then when I'm done wheeling I hose off in the parking lot so I don't fling mud everywhere. As long as you have a hose and cleanup, what's the problem Stu or anyone else at PC. Your not the only wheeling spot around you know. :smsoap:

He Sean, they make this magical new paint that sprays out of a can, I think it's called "spray paint" or something like that. Give your bumpers, rockers, and tube work a little love. ;)

Heah, Sean what are your xj's specs? How much lift? Your running coilovers up front and leaf springs in the back? Nice looking rig, how do you get in & out of it? That's 1 of the talled xj's I think I saw, cannot wait to see it in person at Fordyce in a few weeks.

its' really not that tall

he's got a D60 front with longarm/radiusarm setup and coilovers, Ford 9"/14bolt hybrid rear with leafs.

I don't think he's going to Fordyce the 14th, I think he's waiting for the 'Con the 15th, but i'll let him confirm/deny that

It's really not that tall... it sits at a really good height. Plus, he's got a selection of nice tube handles to grab onto on the way in.

That's pretty tall when you have to do a pull-up to get in your rig. Looks good, but I wonder how much wider the track width has gotten with the axles, tires, rims, etc? :dunno:

We need a nice shot with you guys standing in front of your rigs holding measuring tape or something. :D Sean's rig does look huge and I know it would have to be to clear those 38's. Wow, I like it. :D

Jes, I have a long punch list of minor shiat to finish on my rig. Rattle can stuff is really far down the list ;)

The coolest thing is being able to watch someone else wheel your rig that has been under the knife for about 2 years and to watch how well everything works. The tires stuff up really nicely, a little more trimming to be done but not much. The front just plain works. The rear needs to have the leaves broken in, but I understand that you have to actually wheel it for that to happen ;)

As far as being tall. No way man, i sit a little over 7.5" or so. The rig was stable enough that I am probably going to skip the anti-rock install, even though I already have all the parts from Rock Equipment.

Big Red, please limit your posts to one question per post :flipoff:
