JEEP NP208 FOR SALE

This unit is out of an 81 truck. The 208 is stronger than a 231 and has fixed yokes in the front and rear so you don't need a slip yoke eliminator kit. $300 or trade for a low mileage 23 spline 231J. The case is located in Paducah, KY. E-mail me at [email protected] if interested.

I'm sure it uses the same mounting pattern (as the D300, and nearly all NP 'cases...) but have you counted the splines on it? It would be helpful to know if one had to do a tranny swap to use the thing.

Too bad you're so far away - if it were a 23-spline input, I'd probably get it myself...

It is a 23 spline output same as the 300 and the 231. I measured and it saves about 2 inches in driveshaft lenth.
