Where did he go??
Well I got a reply about those chrome mirrors with LED turn signals..... They are $90.00/set JP01MR03/04
Nothing on the door handles.

lol. Did somebody mention LED lights? Way to move something off my 'want' list to my 'need' list Chris. DAMN. I NEED A SET.
I dont like the chrome lights, but I do like those turn signals, so I'm up in the air about this one, I'm guessing one reason these are $90 a pair is that they need to be chromed.
If alexparts really is producing them I bet they could leave them unfinished and sell cheaper.
I still want those door handles though, those are pimptastic!
I rather a chrome-free set of mirrors as well.
I can tell you this much.. if all I can get is a chromed set than that chrome is meeting its fate at the powdercoaters.
Those handles are pretty cool as well; I definitely want a set, but like the mirrors, I would have them powdercoated.
After reading a bit more about powder coating I feel like I need to correct myself. It is possible to powder coat plastic, but the plastic needs to be fairly exceptional (thermoset) and/ or a specialty powercoat should be used (something with a lower melting point).I've seen plastics powdercoated before, so I'm sure it's possible

Considering I live in a town with some fairly basic powdercoaters, and considering the lower quality of the materials used on the Jeep 2500 I'd have to say I was wrong to think I could have those mirrors powdercoated.
True enough. I spent under 30 bucks painting my chrome grille, and that was for primer, paint, and clearcoat (it's 9bucks a can around here). Still, I was hoping powdercoat was an option because I was debating doing those chrome parts in hammertone.Flat black paint costs $5 a can and will do about 10 mirrors!

Anyways, this conversion is somewhat pointless until we know, for sure, that Chris can actually get those mirrors (and IF it's possible to get them without chrome).
ya, though I'm still not sure if they are worth $90 a pair.
well... you're basically paying 90 bucks+shipping for those snazzy signal markers. Personally, I would buy a set. It looks like the Jeep 2500 is discontinued (I don't see it on jeep.com.cn), so really... who knows how long those parts will be around.
I wonder if they had DC's blessing or they just reverse engineered the design...
