Oh, the gap below the tail lamp? Best way to fix that is to use the 2500 bumper caps/corners or the 97+ US caps make it a bit better.

i'll just leave it, never thought about needing the bumper and caps, but make sense. Its hardly noticeable and my rig is no show truck either.

Santa came today!

If someone is going to put together another order, just let me know who I have to sleep with. I'd like to get my hands on fenders, headlamps, header, bumper and necessary trim items.

lol. It's only your second post, and you're offering up your manbits for jeep parts.
Every self-respecting poster knows you're supposed to withhold sexual favors until, at least, your hundredth post.

Hmm... my JCR seems tight against my rear tails maybe that gap on the 2500 tails is what I need, plus it re-locates the reverse light so that its above my tire carrier...

wheels are turning, this is dangerous.

I hear that there are some on eBay right now :) I think with an aftermarket bumper the gap would be less noticable.

When i get my bumper from JCR im going to see im they would be willing to raise that corner section to fill the gap better. Might be a few extra bucks .. but it will be worth it.

The downside though is what if you smash one up... you can't just put in the stockers again and be fine....

What do you guys think about the clear coat .. or possibly laquer over the taillights to prevent fading?

I wouldn't raise the corners... like i said mine is really tight; if I take the tails off I have to sit on the bumper to get enough clearance to get the lights back in. Probably perfect as is.

If you send me a set I'll confirm for you

Well truth be told, I'm used to being on the Jeepforum and only joined this one to figure out how to get these 2500 parts, I'm USUALLY not this easy:jester:. But I pa ruse this forum frequently. This seems to be a very active thread an hoping for a new thread titled "Jeep 2500 Conversion order #3"

So are you wanting to buy some? Or are you trying to get some freebies ;)

Cause im selling!

Order #3 = Me buying a container of stuff and selling it for a mint <insert evil greedy rich guy laugh here>!
I've been trying to find a way to afford a gold and diamond grill.. you know for the ladies. Or maybe a 32oz pimp cup and walking stick.

Why don't you do order 3? I need a break from doing it before I hit burnout.

I was planning on sanding the tail lights down with 1000 grit sandpaper, then 2000, then buffing them off with plastic polish so they were nice and shiney, then coating them in a UV protecting clear coat.

Maud'dib are they coated? can you scratch some of the coloration off from inside or outside? Maybe you could try on an non visible area...

As far as clearing them goes, If they are coated on the inside that's good, but putting anything on the outside on plastic especially polished plastic is very unlikely to last... I know I've read a few threads about people smoking their lenses back when that was the thing, unless there's something new out there like clear Fusion?

Sounds like these things are uber-cheap... taillights from Harbor freight :scared:

Its colored plastic. Not a painted on color. This same thing came up last time and it always makes me chuckle. They were $6.00/ea, I can't even get a burger, small fry and drink for that at the drive thru, so you really have to put it into perspective as to what your getting. Honestly its the first time I heard of them fading out of all the ones we got on the first order. I do remember someone sugesting that the use of colored bulbs (red/amber) make them "look" better, and not as pink.
Another thought might be to use some LED bulbs if the "fading" is caused by excessive heat from the stock bulbs???
