Jeep 2500 Conversion order #2

hard to ask for more money when it's taken this long for him to get back to everyone. he's gonna have to get hold of the guys on comancheclub HIMSELF if he wants more money and issue an apology. then there's the matter that there was never any need for the storage fees to get racked up...he should have had this taken care of weeks ago (instead of going on vacation in mexico)

that's my handle on things at least...and I'm not even directly involved (though I very much hope to be able to purchase some of his spare parts).

You don't lose the parts to the government but believe they go to their storage and its gonna require more paperwork and its alot of time consuming and more fines since the parts are coming from china....My parts almost went to that status but my broker helped me out alot...BonesBrosChris pm me if you need something also what's the problem with the paperwork? the only paperworks that are need it is the Original Bill Of Lading and the Invoice of the parts plus the cash and that's it, It might be that the brokers are not helping so they can take out more cash by going with more paperwork...

racking up fees gives you two options...pay them, or don't. if they don't all get paid, then the government takes them or sues the person who was handling the items being stored. i.e. the parts wouldn't get delivered.

I understand that they are not lost, but some more storage fees will be added.... and at a stupid high rate too. There is no problem with the paperwork. Gerry was in possesion of the original BOL, but that is not really a problem as of right now because its with the Broker. All the Broker wants is the stuff paid for and picked up. The stuff is sitting in another storage place (Synergy, I think) in San Diego and all the free days will run out on Friday. It's been in country for so long now with out being picked up.... next stop is the govt. warehouse. I've spoken with the broker several times now and they are being very helpful but just need the $$ then its released.

I just spoke with Chris and have just sent him $500 through papal to hopefull make this thing a little closer to getting it done. I'm going to owe that much just in shipping and such so lets see what happens. I will be making a trip to the west coast soon so if be things can be taken care of.

I'll call the broker today and just pay the whole amount and get it shipped to Spokane, WA. I'll eat the cost of it from Cali. to Wa., I just don't want this getting anymore messed up than its gotten so far. This has just gotten to outta hand and my name is all over it and I'm tired of loosing sleep on it. That and I'm not going out like a Bitch over something like this. But its business and being such people are expecting parts on a thread that I started. Problem solved.

I spoke with the broker and am going to overnight the money to them,so the stuff will be able to be picked up by Oak Harbor freight lines tomorrow. I already got a quote from Oak Harbor and it was very reasonable and it shouldn't take that long to make the trip from Cali to Washington. It's coming to my work because that's the only place I have to store it at. Since I can't do any sorting or shipping during work hours I'll be working on getting it out after hours and on the weekend's. And I'm sorry for any stress and inconvenience that this my of caused everyone so far, but I can assure you that it will get done. You have my word on that.

Chris, dont eat the cost man... hold Gerry to it. Make him pay for that since your forced into taking it over. I can understand how you feel about it being on your shoulders and all, but Gerry said he would take care of it, and thats exactly what has NOT been done.

Im sure Gerry is a great guy, but business is business. He may never pay you or who knows he might, but i personally feel its his responsibility to AT LEAST take care of that for you. It was his responsibility, and he just sat on it. Your not to blame for that.

Chris, I admire the way you are handling the situation. I don't think that you should solely eat the cost of shipping the parts to Wa. Everyone that has ordered should pitch in, making the cost less of a burden. Thanks again for manning up and taking control of the order. I believe that I can speak for everyone, that all of your time and effort is greatly appreciated. :cheers:
