What's the length on the drag link? Just the metal end. Maybe it's just me but mine seems short?
Also how would 1 tell the difference between OTK and UTK?

My drag link, just the tube is 21.25" long...seem short?

Thats the right size 21.25'' just went and measured Mine. And make sure you have the bushing for the Passenger Side.

Ehh maybes its just me...thought the actual drag link was short. My buddies was 24" lol just means more thread will show on the tre but no biggy.
And ya I've got the derlin? Bushing? But no zerks or cotter pins...no biggy though since it was swapped, ill handle that stuff. I think they just gave me the otk drag link which is cut shorter by them. And swapped the tre that's reamed. No biggy but would of been nice looking if it were longer, with so much much thread showing.
This will be plenty enough for my 31s or 33x10.5/ though. I wonder if it'll hold the weight of my rig? Like using tie rod as a jack point..I tend to do that a lot.

Now I know its not a fair comparison..but this jcr only weighed 24lbs and change with 4 tre, castle nuts ect ect. My 1.5" solid steel ironman Andy tie rod is definitely heavier, just the rod no ends than the complete jcr setup.. I think the jcr is .25" thickness right? Or is the tie rod .5" thick?

Anybody got a pic of that bushing installed? I put my 1ton on before they had that bushing. I see they sell them individually, but haven't really looked to see exactly where it goes.

I would like to reduce that flat spot for sure

I didn't take a picture but it goes on the passenger side knuckle takes up the roll out of the TRE It's very stiff bushing!!

If you want 88 wait a few days. I bought some derlin which is much stiffer than their poly bushing. Ill cut ya a few for the. Same cost. Company made me buy 12" I will only use like 2" lol.

All I can say is I'm very happy with it and haven't had any problems with it!! I bought mine used and disassembled it and anti seized everything made it much easier to adjust!! And if your in the Hi Desert I Hav a reamer u can borrow!!

I've had the JCR dead spot for a few years, I suppose I could wait a few more days. Shoot me a message when ready and we will work it out. Awesome!!

why the hell would you use your tie-rod as a jack point? the axle tube is right there.

and that delrin bushing is going to wreck your TREs...SAI requires misalignment in those joints.

So why would jcr give us practically the same thing? I'm not being smart or anything, I'm just trying to learn. I saw others who bought delrin and used it instead.
And honestly finding a center spot on your tie rods quick and easy and lifts the front end up equally vs trying to center the jack just after the pumpkin. Is it an every day thing? Nope but I do do it from time to time.

JCR sells that bushing because its a bandaid solution to the bad design that is inverted T, but it allows them to make money on the lazy design. also, their bushing is a lot softer than delrin, which allows the TRE to compress it for SAI, but it also doesn't dampen the dead spot as much.

I've ****ed with inverted T long enough to know that unless you can get your drag link nearly flat, you are going to have a massive dead spot. whether you are willing to live with it or not is up to you.

as far as using the tie-rod as a jack point, its unnecessary strain on the ends that arent supposed to be loaded in that direction.

steering axis inclination.

the knuckles do not turn on a level plane.

The length of our drag link for UTK is longer than that. Did you buy this directly from us? Shoot us an e-mail at [email protected] or call at 269-353-1184 :)

There is a large market for inverted T steering. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it a bad design, or us lazy.

please tell me how not having direct steering input on the knuckle is a good thing.

Inverted T is a bad design for lifted rigs running stock knuckles and/or pitman arms. it only works well when the drag link is near flat.

people who buy it, whether from you or any of the other MFGs, bolt it on to stock locations and throw that silly bushing in there expecting it to do anything are lazy.
