It's Fall Flog time in Tennessee!!!!

dude you should just come and camp out with me, its not going to be storming (according to weather.com) and if we share a sight it wont cost but $10 a night, but you still have WR entry fee of 33 a day for your jeep with fiona. so a total of 86 in fees plus gas/food :D

At this point, it seems like the XJ is ready. We will be leaving early Saturday morning and arriving round 8am eastern. Maybe you guys will wait for me.

See ya soon.

Ya'll have fun and be safe!

I will be wheelin local on Sunday, I could not get for a whole weekend for this. Good news is I now have a tow vehicle, a new 09 Hemi Commander loaded out with everything including the 7200 tow package. I will have a trailer sometime soon so long trips will be less of a worry.

The winch is mounted up now as well, just gotta finish that front axle then I will be done with the rig for a while.

Take lots of pics!

DUDE!!! best weather ever, GREAT trip overall.

my engine ending up screwing up so bad i had to park it, but i have plans for it the first of the year, can you say fuel injection???? oh yeh baby.

we did rattle rock the entire way today, started at teh trail head at 11:15 and teamwillys and hardstruggler made it all the way to the top and out (tim pulled line 3 times, tyler NOT ONCE!) and we where at the top at 4:15. although melkor and doug didnt made it past the 1/4 mark but still a great day!

had a great time! saturday we hit 22, the creek bed...16, and 2 creek beds over there. sunday we rode 15...mark broke front u-joint and ripped the knuckle off his dana 30...matt got it back together so he could drive back to the camp. afterwords just tj mark and i ran 3...my check engine light came on before 3 and it wont idle very well and feels like its about to stall. drove it like that all through 3 and made it back down the mountain. weather was perfect...60's and 70's and blue sky the whole weekend!

The absolute best trip ever (at windrock anyways b/c nothing will ever top Tellico)! I was really impressed with the Willys on this trip. The rear axle repair held up just fine (although some gear oil is seeping from the previous plug welds) and due to that, I was able to make it the furthest on the atomic ridge hill climb; thank you 4.3 and 38" TSLs, I was able to conquer trail 39 and cadilliac hill with much style, I made Rattle Rock from the bottom to the top with only a slight amount of rock stacking, but NO WINCHING! Then, after rattle rock, we wnet and hit trail 3, which I was able to do without hitting the big diff killing rock at the top (never been able to clear this, usually have to either winch or spend quite some time fighting with it). It was al very impressive, even to myself. I still can't believe how well it made it through Rattle Rock... although it was built for trails just like that.

Then in the parking lot while loading up a guy intentionally blew th motor in his toyota truck. It was knocking on the way down the mountain, once he got it on the trailer he got in in and held it on the floor until a rod put a sunroof in the side of the block. He said "I had to finish it off." Very stupid, but kinda funny.

For those that couldn't make it, im sorry you missed out on such a great ride. Maybe you all can make it to the next one!

I'm absolutely pooped... a good trip always wears me out. Time for bed, Goodnight!

I agree with Tyler, best Windrock trip ever. The weather was incredible! As for carnage I imploded a superior long side shaft and almost lost the ball joint but i had a spare so its all good, o and Doug I talked to Jason tonight so he knows your coming in the morning Thanks Again for taking that for me!!! Everyone rocked as always, and the trails rocked since they werent flowing rivers like usual! Goodnight Blanton i know your sleeping well buddy.

......and I missed the whole thing. :rattle::flamemad:

i took A LOT of pictures! ...between blake and i, we took about 600 on just rattlerock!

...i had a fair share of carnage this trip.

Friday: heading up the paved road to 15, my jeep catches fire due to line X getting too hot near exhaust. after 15 and little mule, we headed to atomic ridge; on the way, my "squeak noise" went away... few minutes later, my belt is laying on the ground, and i have a tensioner pully sitting XXXX-eyed with no bearings left, and an idler pulley not spinning so well. Mark - High2By brought me the needed parts, and was ready to go for the morning.

Saturday: at the begining of 39, drove over some tree branches, and one managed to rip the 0ga power cable out of the terminal clamp, and killed everything. no big deal, tightened it back up, good to go...

Sunday: RattleRock - bent rear axle yoke (the replacement one tim got me) u bolts, and spit u-joint out. didn't break anything, so got some new caps, straightend the u bolts, and continued on. 50 ft later, broke the u joint, bent the same u bolts, spit caps, and broke an 'ear' off the rear driveshaft... i was left to be a FWD Willys with AWFUL torque steer! just like a honda  ...thanks to the 8274, i was able to make it out of rattlerock via a bypass, and drove down to the parking lot...

overall: incredible trip... weather was awesome, wheeling was awesome, friends were awesome! this was well needed.

i now have a list of stuff to do to the Willys, and things to make and modify, but it's all part of it.

pics should be coming soon... doug has all of them as well, so he'll be helping me post them to help satisfy those that couldn't make it...

those interested, pics totaled 4GB... pm me about mailing me your flashdrive if you'd like pics.

Had a really good trip and fun time. Did mostly trail riding on Saturday and a few creek beds. Sounds like I missed a good time on rattle rock Sunday! I'm kinda regretting not running it with yall! Weather was perfect and the jeep did really good with no breakage so thats always good. Greg and Tiff took alot of pics and vids out of our group so hopefully they will be getting those posted up!!

Where to start???? Thanks to mother nature first for the best wheeling weather ever!:sunshine: It was dang near perfect. I had a blast!!!! This was one of the best trips ever. I stayed in a cabin this year but should have tented it as nice as it was.

We rode hard all day Saturday. I conquered the hill climb at the start of 3 this year. Last year I backed out of it. I own that hill now!!!!! YEAH!! After getting everyone off trail 3, cough, Jarrad, cough, we headed back to camp for some AWSOME chili prepared by chef Blake,:chef: YJ-Genral. Hats off sir, that hit the spot!! Thanks!!

Dan, Jarrad and myself took a little night ride on 22. We left out at 10 minutes after MIDNIGHT. It was great!! Note to self....install some rock lights.:repair:

Sunday was a little harder on my Jeep than Saturday. I have a list of some carnage, as usual.
Saturday I broke my t-case skid and traction bar off. They just couldn't handle the load, of the Jeep that is, crashing down on the rocks. Well actually I can blame that one on the wife, as she was the one driving when it came off. :D Thanks to Dan and Blake for helping her get back to camp. I also managed to bend a rocker up, which made it right near impossible to open the passenger side doors. Not a stock rocker now, a 2"X6" replaced rocker. Then Sunday, I managed to blow a u-joint which in turn caused both ball joints to seek refuge away from the inner C. A stainless steel brake line and the tie rod kept my wheel and brakes and knuckle from rolling off. A BIG thanks to Matt for getting it back together so I could get off the mountain and thanks to all those there that lended a hand or a brand new 33" tire and wheel that got dirty and scratched:dunno:. I think I owe you some tire shine and black touch up paint Greg. THANKS GUYS!!!!

Me and mine had a great time this weekend. I have a few pictures to post up as well. Thanks to everyone who came out and to those who couldn't make it, well you know.

Like everyone else, I have a list of things that either need fixing or replacing altogether, like the D30 up front....
