Issues with 30ish tires on a stock 01 xj.

I think you can get a lift block kit w/ u-bolts for like $50 on ebay. That should buy you all the space you need so you can take your time getting the real lift together and not do too much damage in the mean time.

Here's me with 235/75/15's on my '98 with stock suspension and inverted leafs (will be fixing that soon enough).

And here's me flexing the hell out of my Jeep with all the sways still connected (rear sway is removed now):

Put the rear shackle lift on and it just about cured the rub. Still need to do the front, but that's not gonna happen this weekend...

Here's my stock '99 with the crappo 235/75/15's that came on it. I've got no rubbing issues and plan on getting some 30x9.50-15 Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor's in the next few weeks.

beautiful yellow XJ! I've got the same package, I think... 2001 XJ Sport, Solar Yellow, black/yellow Jeep seats, D30/C8.25 and the Ecco wheels. and the same sagging rear suspension. Mine rides at 16" in the rear (wheel cap to bottom of flare), instead of the 17" it should be. measured with about 100lbs in the back (hitch, floor jack, fishing gear)

keep us updated with pics as you change stuff :)

I,ve run 30's on stoke and never had any problems just a little rub on the inside of the reaer wheel weell at full flex.

and on the adjustment of the wheel lock on the back side of the ft hub assembly you will see what looks like a bolt ad nut on the back it hits the axle at full turn loosen the nut and back the bolt out a couple turns and tighten the nut back down.
