Is NAXJA sponsoring any Jeepspeeds

So how do you decide which of the 20 or so JS teams to sponsor? When goatman was sponsored in KOH he was the only XJ running.

How about a contingency program. Maybe we could get ALL Jeepspeed competitors to run decals if we put up some sort of everyman award like a few $ for 10th place?

Just like any sponsorship. YOu have people apply with a proposal package. Number of races to be entered, past history of finishes...you could even boost membership by having to be a red letter to apply. Give a point system to everything and add it up. No favorites....just consistency.

How funny, I thought you had all read the original post wrong. I just went back and re-read it and realized it was me. I kind of like the idea of my original misreading though...

So , was thinking about this during the weekend, and was wonderig, is sponsoring any of the Jeepspeed races? Seems like it would be a good way to really drive some publicity, marketing and drive additional traffic to the site..............

Seems to me that being a sponsor (or co-sponsor) of a JeepSpeed event would be an excellent marketing opportunity as well. You could have signage on all of the promotional materials as well as on the race course itself. Wouldn't be limited to just one vehicle that way. And as was mentioned, all the racers are in XJ's anyways.


Off Topic: Just ran into a guy wearing a JeepSpeed shirt at the grocery store yesterday. Found out he is a co-driver for #1777 and the team shop is only about a mile from my house. They're prepping for Vegas this week and he invited me over to check it out. That could turn into an expensive visit for me...

I think it would be sweet for Naxja to toss a few bucks towards a team or two. Shoot, 1000-1500 bucks covers plenty of entry fees!

How much was leftover from the raffle jeep that was done??

$1000 would cover 1 mint or BITD race and 1 local socal race. you cant leave us out either......

I didn't realize thats what we were talking about, I guess I was assuming helping with building, parts, repairs, etc.

$1000 would be pretty doable I guess, I thought we were talking $10k+


SO, you guys that race....what does $1k get us??? A hood decal? Sticker on a quarter? Or do we get to plaster the Jeep

$1000 budget would get you a contingency program for the last 3 races of 2010. May 22, Sept 11 and either Oct 16 or Dec 4 tbd.
We would ask all Jeepspeed competitors to run 2 decal about 10" long. We post a $250 prize for a finish position of your choice. Participation by racers is voluntary but no sticker=no cash.For $250 balance you could promote at our race weekend contingency booth.

For more cash we could designate one of our races The Naxja ????? of Jeepspeed Challenge.

For $1000 on our jeep, you will get a 10" sticker on the jeep for the remainder of the season. We also made a deal for to be in a off-road movie this year witch the naxja sticker would be shown in. The naxja link and logo on all our website and all our promo materials. let me know....

I like the sound of this. I think it would put the money to best use. Think of all the different pictures that are taken of random Jeepspeed rigs.

How about hooking up with the team that has the best finishing record in the class AND has finished in the top 3 in points every year? Plus we get press in Off-Road Adventures magazine at least once per year.

I do like Clive's idea of being a contingency sponsor, then everyone has a chance. Pay it out to the last finishing vehicle (we've been there before).
