Is it just me,

or just the cow pasture that my internet connection runs through? It seems that after the great crash of a few weeks ago, or whatever you want to call it, I keep loosing my connection to NAXJA. The problem has not been as bad for the week, or so it seems. When I try to change pages, I loose connection, the generic whit page saying that my browser “cannot find server”. This happens most predictably while trying to reply to a thread. As soon as I hit the reply button, poof; gone. I could understand this if it prevented my posting, :D but it doesn’t. After closing my browser I can usually get back on to the site without being notified that the “server cannot be found”. This problem is also likely to occur when I try to edit a post. During this period, this site loads very slowly; but that could be the cow pasture thing with my ISP. These issues appear only to occur with this site, as I test my ability to connect to random sites when I encounter problems. I have tried pouring water into my CPU in order to improve its ability to focus as well as energy drink in an effort to speed things up.

I have also noticed that I am no longer able to “cut” items from the dialog box so that I may paste them into Word; however, I have no difficulty pasting to the dialog box. Word is my friend. My ability to keep my idiocy a secret depends heavily on Word at times, especially with words over three letters long.

:dunce:

It sounds like your ISP. I have a shell connection 24/7 to the server, and the only occasion I get dropped is maybe at about 2am when back-ups run.

When it is acting up, do a traceroute (not a ping). Do one when it is normal as well. Then PM those to me when you have a problem.

Thanks Glenn; I'll do as you suggested.
