Iron rock offroad long arm upgrade

Like my post said I love it and the cross member is awesome if you do not have sye no problem has biult on t case drop

Quality adjustable arms and drop brackets will cost nearly the same as a long arm, and you'll still be left with a flimsy sheetmetal stick crossmember. Most long arms come with a far better crossmember.

Drop brackets, and IRO long arms both suck.

You guys are right, no flex and it falls apart if you wheel it.

really? another one of these threads!? !!!1

stop getting butt hurt, no one is criticizing the flex of the IRO kit, just the single 10mm bolt holding the front end together. why is it that whenever the kit is criticized, the people who run it default to "OMGZZZ but it haz soooo much flecks!!1!!one!!!"

That's a cute quote you did there cabinet maker!! I haven't broke the ten mm bolt or haven't seen anyone eles brake it on this kit have you ? Do you own the kit ? Any helpful advise for the op or just butt hurt you are ?

That super weak 10mm bolt that breaks all the time yet nobody has broken 1 running this kit? 2 people show bent caster adjusters out of 100's of people running the kit, yet all we hear is that 10mm bolt will fail? Are there better kits? Yes! Considering 100% bolt on and the price the kit is a viable option and works very well offroad and on.

Man this thread has gone to hell in a hand basket. If you don't own this long arm kit please stay away.I don't think he wants to hear about your friends, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend second hand i think story of how he was just sitting in his garage and it broke.
I know i wouldn't think of running this kit cause it doesn't cost 1200 to 1800 dollars,(for just the arms) but hey thats just me.:)

I have seen one broken bolt and one failed caster adjuster. And thats out of the 2 people I personally know who have ran the kit in the past.

The reason I havent had 100% personal experience with this kit under my jeep is because it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there is a weak link in this kit that no other kit has. I wouldn't be able to comfortably wheel the trails I do knowing that setup is keeping my axle in place. I prefer to not worry about things that could have been easily avoided.

All these threads turn into the same thing. People say they hate it, people say they love it. People who love it get upset and post pictures of the sweet flex and say it works though the hardest wheeling ever. People who hate it mention failures. People who love it ask for proof. People who hate it post pics. People who love it counter with saying its because the guy running it was an idiot and can't install anything properly. People who hate it say they arent idiots and know how to install parts. Then both parties give up on the other party and get on with their life.

There, I just saved everyone from 4 more pages of back and forth :geek: !!!1

Just use the search function if you want more opinions, or if you wan't to know what this thread will turn into.

and this piece of shit kit dosnt allow you to upgrade to a axle to a better

Sure it does if you got any skill with a welder and some fab skill

So lets redesign an already shitty suspension system to work around a larger center section, then keep our new 500lb axle in place with a 10mm bolt. Yup, makes sense ;)

Sure does give her hell buddy fill free to chime back in when you have a iron rock long arm kit good day sir

Question for those that have this kit,why did you buy this over every other LA kit?

Ive heard the cons of the kit so whats the pros of it over other kits?

Price.

I can bring up pictures of 10 rigs I know personally that have never had issues.

But then, I would only be attacked for not agreeing with the elitists..

Who cares?:dunno:

why does no one ever talk about rough country. i know alot of guys in florida that run it and have out flexed rustys, iro, re, and almost tied a home made 3 link. aside from the bushings its an awesome kit and its cheap compared to others.
