Introduce yourself

My mane is Josh and I'm in the Coast Guard. I'm stationed in Maine but will be moving to Florida in a couple of weeks. I have a 4dr 1999 XJ Sport. What I've done to my XJ so far is to enhance it's towing ability: K&N Precharger, Air-raid throttle body spacer an HD leaf springs. Right now my Jeep takes my toys to the water. As soon as I get a second vehicle and can take the baby seats out of the Jeep, it will become a toy too.

Hey Jeep cj/xj...I live up here in the White Mountain region in Campton. If you ever get up this way get off at exit #28 (off I93) and head into Waterville Valley. On the way in there is a road called Sandwich Notch Rd, a seasonal rd, but there are old logging roads on it to explore. If you follow it out all the way you come to Center Sandwich, if it looks familiar(depending on your age) it the is opening shot for the old Newhart Show, the one where he owned an inn in VT.
If you kept heading into waterville Valley ((Rte. 49) you'll come across some other roads worth checking out( you'll see them cut off the main rd.) Turn up towards the ski area(well marked) there is another seasonal road, Tripoli Rd, it runs thru the White Mountain National Forest and will bring you back out to Rte#93 at exit #31. There are some places to explore on this rd. too, NO OFFROADING in the Natl. Forest, but there are some legal side roads to check out.

Hi everybody, my name is Jeremy and I live in Montgomery County, Maryland. Im 24 and my day job is a Jaguar Technician. I've been into cars pretty much my whole life and lately I have been very interested in offroading. I traded a guy on craigslist my truck for a 96 Cherokee with a 4.0/AW4/NP231 with D30 and D35 axles. As of now, it sits with 31 inch tires and a budget 2" lift. My plans are to give it a 4.5 inch lift and 33's and probably swap the D35 for a Chrysler 8.25. Im pretty excited to get into this new hobby and look forward to meeting some of you.

Welcome!!! Nice Jeep too by the way. Make sure you do plenty of research before you buy a lift and tires. NAXJA and Google are you best friends in this department.

How do you like that roof rack? And it looks like you stuffed two more OEM roof racks under it...pretty good idea, actually.
