Having problem today? There is a ton of traffic congestion out there. I have not been able to view this site most of the day, had to come in via a proxy. Very frustrating.

So, if you are having problems reaching some sites, you are not alone.

ISS is predicting massive slowdowns due to a hacker contest on the 6th. One other note, is it my immagination or has the junk mail just gone thru the roof. I had over 420 junk emails in the last 24 hours, all filtered to the trash but still the numbers floored me from the normal 30 or so.

Yeah, I posted about that before...somewhere around here.

I have had tons of probes for exploits over the last several days... more than normal. Keeps me on my toes. Wish they would stop probing linux boxes for windows exploits, lol.

Wanna have some fun, setup a honey pot and put all kinds of bogus 'corporate' info on it, just for fun encrypt the files and make them multipart. Then watch your sniffer and do some back tracing. Had one a while ago, kept probing my network, back tracked em, idiot was using a red hat linux box but used a pop [plain old passwd] for root, took about 20 min with a websters and I formatted 4 of his partitions for him
