Interlake???

There are people on some of those sites that lurk around here. Some of those people even have xj's. I was trying to find some LOCAL that KNOW the place to show you around. Some of these people help out w/ Jeep Jambo's and even at the last minute dropped their weekend plans to drive to Alabama because they had no JEEP driving trail guides.

Sorry, I didn't know it mattered what you drove on the trail as long as it was capable and reliable. I figured as long as it ended w/ J it was good.

I've wheeled w/ people from all of these groups and they are great people, and a JEEP crazy.

BrianHo probably knows some people at K&I. Flexed may know some of the guys from Bluegrass.

Yes, I do know some of the people from K&I. Rob don't be affraid to wheel with new peeps, heck you will be surprised what an xj can do compared to other rigs......

Look I am not bashing other Jeeps or People I have wheeled with the guys from TORC and another group. I am on NAXJA looking to wheel with NAXJA. If I want to wheel with K & I I will go to that site and post the same thing up there.

Gosh I can't help that I like you guys best.

I have been to Interlake a couple of times. Nothing too extreme. I heard there were some extremely tough trails but we never found them. Both times i went i was in my old TJ open front and rear on 33's and never had an issue.

Sorry Flexd, I was thinking Princeton, IN(toyota) not Columbus, IN (cummins)...

My point is... You've never been there, and almost no one on this forum has been there... don't go over there and post a trail ride thread... post a trail guide wanted thread... There are several trails there that can and will cause body damage on an XJ.

My XJ w/31's will go almost anywhere and sometimes more places than some TJ's w/ 33's will go.

Its cool man! Don't let Rob Fool ya. He may not have much experience but he can wheel his rig on 30's very well!

Tell ya' what. Brian get ahold of a couple of the people from K & I and ask about Interlake. I'm sure they will find someone around that is more than happy/willing to guide for you guys.

Most people that do the Jeepthing, are really great people and fun to be around. You'll always have the ribbing and poking from the round headlight people because we're all squares, but it's all in fun. Most are just looking for the next trail/obstacle to conquer. The boneless Jeeps are a lot of fun.

I wish I had more time to get out and Jeep, but 1 weekend off a month, makes it a little difficult. I want to go back to Interlake, and eventually make it to Badlands(WF 2010), RedbirdSRA, Washita (MO), and all the others in MO.

Yeah they poke fun until we crawl a rock ledge they can't climb in one that isn't an unlimited. You definately have to make WF and Redbird is also a great wheeling spot.

Check out Lincoln Country Trailriders, although its mainly an ATV Club, alot of the guys have Jeeps/trucks. Most of the folks in Lincoln Country live around Interlake and know the place very well, they were the first club to aproach the State and the club was very involved in getting the place open for "legal" off road recreation. Tell them Diablo sent you.

I could get out there eventually... same distance from me as Redbird.

I'd be interested, did yall decide on a weekend? and if I'm driving out there it's too far for a day trip, what's there for camping? (and maybe these were already answered and I just didn't read good enough)
