Ouch. Yeah..... ya gotta be able to lower the trans to get to those top case nuts.......

Ok, that sucks. My bad for talkin' smack. :D

This will be my first repair since installing it, but I think the main trick will be to keep the front end from walking away while I have everything dropped -- lots o chocks!!

Big sand bag on the brake pedal? :dunno:

well, got the xj to flex today, got some work to get done by this weekend, my rears are still rubbing, least they are off the frame, now they are rubbing the fender flares, and the rock was only about 12" tall , not going to work for me, think I am going to run down and try and pick up some Tera flex rear shackles, give me another 1.5" in the rear, that should get me going. Not been a good week thus far, hopefully it gets better as Sat. approaches.

if your pullin it with at least a V8 you can pull it all the way to the "pre-pond" parking area....most people that drive up their jeep usually disconnect and airdown here.....
its a dirt road all the way up...plates are "required" all the way up....i think its like 10 miles or so up to the trail head.....
im hopin for a lil rain a day or two before...even a light sprinkle...if not it will be a very dusty ride up....

I just finished fixing all my front end problems on the big dodge, so I’m going to bring down the 88. Is that upper lot fairly large, plenty of room for parking and turning around?

My suspension creeks and groans like truggy, so Troy you run up front and I'll bring up the rear and we will torture everyone in between.

oh ya lots of room....guy had duramax pulling his CJ and a Zuki (thats a long damn trailer) and he had room to turn around....
the road widens and narrows about as often as ya blink lol.... youll be set....
glad your comin down

don't know if I will be making it, depends on how bad I want to wheel I suppose, I could probably make it over Eagle Rock, but it'll be bypasses and rubbing the whole way for me, got under it today to see what was up and found out that there is no way my 33's are going to clear, and that dude lied to my wife when we bought it, there is no 4.5" rubicon express lift under there, hell it has stock shocks in the rear..I am pretty PI$$ED right now, I will let you all know before hand if I will make it up, I may be going to Longmont to get some work done on the XJ now....sorry

I'd really like to get up there on Saturday see what NAXJA is all about, meet some new faces, and maybe get some wheelin in. But sadly, I have a football game to be at (which isn't bad but how the priority list falls, it's not #1). Maybe i'll get out to another one of these events some other time.

it's easy, if you are coming South on I-25, get off on the Circle exit, take a right onto lake, to the 4th stop light, make a Right, you will see IHOP and Red Robin, make the first left, and it will take you up into the Home depot parking lot. or if it gets difficult, call 719-651-6048 and I can give directions from where you are, I will be there early...so call if ya need some guiding in.
