Les is the ONLY buddy I have that I KNOW will never be without a roof.
Vallaya would have to find someone else to ride with at Winterfest.:shiver:
Depsite rust or any necessary sawsall work ... it will be warm and (semi) dry in mine. I like the idea of being warm myself.

I have a busy week ahead of me. Much thanks to my buddy Brian, whom some of you met at CF (the guy in the silver TJ.)

get your turdy done up?
Is tat the one that I sent with Jeremy?

I noticed that too. Why would you cut the extensions off side rails? Mine saved me from worse damage on Saturday.

Lot's of work done there Sean. That rear cage gonna hold things together when it be flexin?

What is the facination with chopping up an XJ. I don't get it. Just buy a Wangler if you want the open air. You get the advantages of a separate frame too.

I've seen one pretty cool cut XJ. Was green and done by a guy from a body shop so it looks nice. Too nice to wheel, but nice none the less.

i'm not gonna answer for sean....but for me, I would rather have less sticking out to get hung up on. there are times when i couldn;t get over a rock because my rail was on it......less is more :) besides, i'm not worried about being saved from damage....and I don't think sean is either

couple reasons for me.

1. like the way it looks
2. cut off sheet metal this is already messed up
3. i already had an XJ
4. i prefer an XJ over a wrangler

i could go on :D

Another important one is wheel base. Longer is better!

Same as Randy said, I'm not answering for Sean but.....IIRC, Seans rails were a little wider than the average bear. I think I remember him saying that they were AJ's super squares and he later added the outer rail himself.

I think there's something to be said for those that can drive something that at least resembles the original vehicle.:moon:
