ok ford gasser guys, I'm leaning toward the ecoboost still and getting closer to pulling the trigger, I would like to hear some pros and cons of the ecoboost over a 5.0, 5.4 or 6.2 on the gassers. I'm stepping out of the luxury diesel truck market to a nice half ton. I have had GM products forever and wanting to try something different. looking at keeping it in the sub 30k range w/ under 100k miles.

Sure does.

I wouldn't tow w a 6 cylinder, so stupid.

Go jr and wade...

:sure: Mine has no problems towing anything I have hooked to it. We have a farmer here that has one that he uses as his farm truck. He has a goose trailer that he hauls round bales and his tractor on that he pulls regularly. He bought his new in 2011. Says he doesn't need a diesel anymore.

For towing, make sure you have 3.73s. If you want economy, get one with 3.31s.

Farmers will pull anything with anything as long as it has a hitch point or fits in/on the trailer.
Poor example

I am old, there is no replacement for displacement!

technically a turbo does change the displacement of a motor.

I mean, if we're measuring displacement in terms of air moved, which is the proper way.

go tell someone to get off your lawn.

Wade n JR, what tow weight package are u guys running and what gear ratios?
