Important

kind of reminds me of fraternity hazing and initiation....but less skin and brotherhood.

Starting to look around at general contractors to see how much putting up a garage shell on the house is gonna cost me. We already have the concrete floor there but don't have any footers or anything so that is gonna be an extra cost. Got a rough quote yesterday for just doing the shell with siding and shingles for around $27k. Thats without any foundation work needed. Just don't know if its a wise decision to dump that kind of money into the place.

i just had a weird time.
decided to throw in for this field service tech job at a heating and cooling company. got an email for scheduled interview and there was no name and almost no information. i show up to the interview today and there are 13 people in the waiting room all interviewing. then they talk a little, showed like 5 mins of the movie 300:dunno:, then went through a power point mostly about the company. afterwards, they called us in 1 by 1 and asked about 15 scripted questions not leaving much room for conversation. then lets me know this is 1 of 3 interviews and if i make it to the next stage they will call.

kinda strange. anyone ever go through something like that? not not throwing it away but i told them what i would need for pay so we'll see.
Pretty obvious if they were showing 300 they expected some fight Club shit to happen or at least a WWE chair shot.

They were showing the scene where they are all off walking to war. I'm just thinking "does this guy think I'll lay my life on the line for him" lol

Not to mention, after 5 or 6 mins I got all into movie mode and wanted him to keep playing it. Kinda bummed when his power point came on. Nothing like going from 300 to a power point about a heating and air conditioning company goals...

I looked up what my buggy was, 89 2dr XJ. I feel bad for all i have done to it, but eh oh well.

On the talk of high priced cars, they are still higher than bat pussy at the autions.

I already fixed all my transmission problems by selling the van and buying Melissa a Toyota Highlander...I thought about how changing one of the solenoids on the Astro but it seemed like there was a high probability it wouldn't help.

Maybe you can find a crackhead with tax money willing to give you $800 for a vehicle with a blown tranny like I did. Hell I was going to be happy with $400

Can you elaborate on what it does or doesn't do? I may be in at that price. 4x4?

When you put it in reverse it makes a noise and kills the motor. If you rev it up and put it in reverse it will stay running. Forward is not quite as bad. I think it needs a torque converter, like it's locked up. The solenoid didn't fix it. It will drive on a trailer.

Camille just called and said truck is acting up on her like the tranny is slipping. That's what it did to me over the weekend and after I changed the tranny filters, fuel filter, cleaned the god awful filthy air cleaner/filter and cleaned the MAF sensor, it ran flawless for 800 miles and pulling the boat at 80mph for 350 of those miles. After another episode of GoogleFu it looks like the MAF is possibly the culprit again, it was a TSB from GM on them and how they can be dirty or an over oiled air filter can affect them. I did get a little excited with the filter oil. Hoping that the MAF can be cleaned again and we are back to normal....at least long enough to make it to the Ford dealer :D
