I think it depends greatly on the make/wear level.

New Detroit? I thought I was gonna die.
Worn Detroit? Not so bad, until it tried to kill you in the ice.

New Lockright? Not as rough as a detroit, but noticeable.
worn lockright, downright pleasant.

Aussie locker?
People ask me what's broken when I turn past then in a parking lot.

heading to Des Moines for the night to Christmas shop and take momma out for dinner and spoil her for once....I hate Christmas shopping, but I like the end benefits :D
 
I just ran the VIN on my folks 05 Expedition. Looks like it has the HD tow package which puts it at around 8500lb tow capacity. Granted, it has the 5.4, but it is the King Ranch edition, and been in the family from new.

Best part, I can probably get away with using it for the next few years as a tow pig while it depreciates even more. Then buy it outright. I think i am gonna try towing the XJ to WF in this.
