I thought about that. Don't know how hard it would be tho. Plus we are probably borrowing her dad's trailer again so don't know if he would want me putting a hitch on it. May have to look into it
Yea in sure we will have plenty of room. Just need to make it comfy enough for wife. If we had a way we would bring the pop up with us but can't pull it and jeep at same time.

You know you want to do it!

****ing Ruffstuff. i ordered this tie rod from them because its their kit im putting it on. and when i ordered the kit it came in like 3 days. ordered the tie rod Saturday, just got a tracking number today saying it shipped out yesterday. and the damn thing wont be here till tuesday! times like this i wish the jeep wasn't a DD...
rant: off back to your normally scheduled shenanigans. ( . )( . )
Well I think we have changed what we are staying in at wf. Instead of driving jeep down with camper in tow, we are just gonna tow jeep down and sleep in excursion. Excursion may be about the same size as the camper anyhow
Except it is illegal in half the states...
They sell tie rod ends at advance auto...
The pass side tie rod has a tapered hole for the drag link. And I also have the new weld in threaded bung thingy coming.
Im a shitty parts guy anyway...
Going to look at a 04 Yukon XL tonight, very clean with no rust. Has 211,000 miles but the price is right.

I'd be more worried about the trans than the motor to be honest. However if it's been rebuilt, and rebuilt with the right parts as long as it hasn't gotten hot you should be good to go. I'd take a seroius look for a 2500 though. The 6.0 doesn't get that much worse in the mileage dpt, and the drivetrain is stronger. That being said there are things than can be done to the 1500s to help with the go, and the woe...
It is clean looking, and priced right. I paid $3500 for my 04 Z71 Hoe with 220K on it.
The RPO sticker inside the glove box door will tell you exactly how it's optioned.
