Anyone done any studies on precision measurement?

my school offers a short coarse i could start next week and i have thought about it a little. i am thinking that it could be helpful in the electrical world right?

just wondering if its wroth my time...
My life is precision measurement. Of your degree could possibly ever take you into manufacturing I'd do it.

Eh just cut a hole big enough to slip a nut/wrench in. Do it all the time. OR you can try and find a weld in bung or just drill and re-tap the hole. Don't fret it's just metal.

I can't get a drill down to it...I may seriously have to pull the intake and exhaust off...I do not have time for this...

Twisted off bolt head, or something else?

Buy a nut roughly the same size, place it over the broken bolt, fill the nut with weld as hot as possible. The heat should help break it loose using an impact right away. this is what I typically do when I spin a head off.

your thinking right Kman...I like what I am hearing.

Bought a 12 inch extension from Lowes. You can get at the bolt straight on from the top with the extension and a drill bit, and moving the wiring harness out of the way and the fuel supply line.

Drilled it out to 5/16th.

Couldn't get an M10 x 1.5 tap to start in it (it wants a slightly bigger drill bit which they sell to fit in the quick change of the extension), but I got a 3/8 -14(?) tap to start in it.

Only way to turn the tap was with a socket, but it didn't fit perfect. Got it tapped out til the tap got stuck and the socket spun on the tap. Spent 2 hours trying to get the tap out. Finally got it out.

Took me 6 hours to get the driver's side completely disassembled.

Have to take the passenger's side apart, then lift the motor up to get them in, they are 1 inch lift mounts for the flat skid install.

Did I mention I have to completely take the engine/tranny skid I just installed off to get access to the motor mounts.

And here I thought owning an only 10 year old vehicle would make wrenching easier...

mac 'it doesn't' gyvr

I was going to add the new motor mounts I have had for two years to my list for WF......
