Important

Matt and Jason have you guys ever checked out Thespeedfreaks.net. Lots of people over there building up 5.9 zj's. Thats where im looking right now to start getting ideas on what i want to put into our zj. Have been looking around at cams, intakes, rockers, sct tuner, injectors, etc.

So...anyone know how difficult it is to collect unemployment if you quit a job? Melissa may have backed herself into a corner by taking this job. The entire staff of the hotel minus the manager just quit, not only that, the owner is skirting around a lot of rules and laws. She is also making her pump milk for the baby in the bathroom, which may actually be illegal. After tomorrow everyone will be gone except her and the general manager...all the other local business owners in the area are telling her that she needs to get out of there...

Ugh...I guess there are some benefits to being self employed

Yeah Durbin told me about it when we bought the 5.9.

Caution: Heartless post

Why is the first instinct to quitting a job being how to collect unemployment? How about finding another job instead of having someone else pay your way?

So far i like that forum. Lots of good info on there. Think we are just gonna make our zj a sleeper/daily driver out of it.

if your interested Matt, i have got a 3.5" lift here at the house for a ZJ that im not gonna use. Will need new lower control arm bushings tho.

If people were asking you to do things that were illegal would you stay at a job? She lost her last job because the company was in trouble and took the first thing she could that sounded reasonable so she didn't have to collect unemployment. My wife will put up with a lot but asking her to break the law is crossing a line...she got hired within a week of losing her last job, I have no doubt she will find something again right away.

She had no control over losing her other job and it came without warning. So if you were in the same situation you would knowingly do something that could put you in jail for fraud? I'm pretty sure no one on here would...if she reports it the hotel closes then she is out a job anyway. Don't assume people who want to leave a job are lazy...I would rather not go into details about what is going on, but from what I have read if you leave a job for your own personal protection or because they were forcing you to do a job you weren't hired to do, you can still collect.

I've spent most of the last 8 year's being self employed and busting my ass to get where I am today. Never once did we turn to any sort of assistance when work dried up for me...in fact it was never an option. We did what we needed to do to survive...now with a baby and a new house, it's not an option. She admitted to me after the first two days that she thought it was a mistake...now at the end of only her first week she has fully realized what she stepped into. I will spare you the rest of the details since you will probably just assume what you want to anyway, but I will assure you this, quitting is not her first instinct
