Important

We book hotels on line all the time, always have had good results.
The taxes are not included in th advertized price, but that is to be expected.
I am fixin' to book a weeks worth of hotels in Wisconsin and da' UP tomorrow.

I booked a bunch of hotel rooms this year when going on vacation without an issue. Even when booking them while on the road for that night.

I got some great rates booking hotel and rental cars online.

For hotel tho, I usually use the actual site for the hotel that I want to book and it saves me a couple bucks over the hotwire/priceline/middle man price.

It seems like I always got really great deals on hotwire and priceline using the bidding/hidden deal option in the past but haven't had much luck in the last few years. One time we stayed at the Hyatt regency in Boston for $50 per night. Melissa got there first and then walked out to the garage and called me insisting I must have told her the wrong hotel

Hmmm...your guest speaker for today will be the Australian voice inside your gps...no seriously. She is the voice inside most GPS systems in the US. Apparently she is also a motivational speaker...interesting

Me too. But that's because if I book with a third party I can't collect the points with the hotel. And since hotels are the only thing I have a say in when it comes to work travel, I'm very picky about it. Plus I book the packages that are a few bucks more to get the extra bonus points. I've got 235,000 points with holiday inn currently.

I book thru my work so I get the company discount. Building up points via work so most of my personal vacation travel ends up free ;) free flights and free hotel....

Usually hotels have a law enforcement rate...sometimes its a good deal...sometimes it's more...so I always check with or with out it.

When we stayed in Charlotte, they claimed no rooms at the law enforcement rate, but when I ran all rates, they had a non-refundable, prepay rate. That rate was $84 bucks, the other rates for the same room just to be refundable was over $120.

Sometimes you just got to spend a few minutes checking for the best rate. Lately we've been staying at Hilton properties.

But, we are going to Cincy in a few weeks for a Reds day game and a Bengals pre-season evening game. I had leftover points from a stay three years ago at the downtown Hyatt...free night.

Anyone have experience with short term investments? Like less than a year. I feel I can do better than letting this down payment on a house sit in savings for a penny every month.

Yeah I get the airline points too. Haven't cashed those in yet but I have used a couple of free hotel nights.

Already paid for the single place trailer back in Feb...80 some I think...

Thanks to our Wyndham timeshares, we get 20% off the "best available rate" on all their hotels, plus Wyndham Rewards points. Only once was I able to find a lower rate elsewhere.

Turn signals finally took a crap on the 99. For the last few years they have sporadically stopped working when on then will start again and be fine for weeks or months. Haven't put much thought into fixing it as they always started working again. Any chance its just the switch or relay or could it be deeper?

Going to Google foo later but thought I'd ask here first.

Not working at all? Check the flasher relay. Under the kick panel below the steering column. Mines been through a couple in its time.

If they're working but you're getting hazards on in the back with just the left turn signal on, then that'd be the switch itself. Again, common.

Yep no work at all but haz do all around. Ive replaced a bunch of ZJ switchs over the years but never any 97+ XJs.

Thanks I'll replace the relay later today and see what happens

Parts gurus...

I need a passenger's side rear caliper for the 5.9...

Is that right rear or left rear?
