Important

FYI make sure the car can handle a hard rollover at peoria. I helped design the track in 2011 when i worked at CAT. if they do the same stuff, they will use concrete jersey barriers jumps again.

I think your team was there in 2011? My Cherokee was there driving around a lot.

good to know. the two ledges that look like they use jersey walls as retainers are what scare me the most. beyond that, it should handle a roll. the roll bar was actually bent during an endo the involved auburn running into us, with their tire landing in our drivers lap. if you click 3:57:00, that is the best footy we have of the incident:

and i believe they were there, but i wasnt on the team then. i believe that would have been our number 65 car, though i dont know if it wore the same numbers in illinois.

Needs more triangulation

:flipoff2:

agreed.. alas, thats how these things are built. there is a 60 page rule book we have to follow. but in the end, a safe car is not a fast car because its heavy. thats part of the reason these things are limited to a 10hp briggs. also, throwing more tube at the roll hoop makes egress hard. we have to be able to escape the vehicle, fully strapped in with all safety gear, in 5 seconds. sounds easy, but they make you wear 50 ****ing tear offs that seriously feel like beer googles.

Build a rock bouncer kart with a cheater motor.

Sure you'll be DQed but you would go down in Baja history

We had a record number of rollovers at this race :D I think it was something like 70+ rolls.

92 XJ.

Scanner will not communicate with PCM. Is there a fuse associated with that DLC? I do not have my fsm handy

It's an intermittent low speed miss that cleans up at wot.

All the basics checked, I'm currently trying to pull the damn distributor out to check the gear but the freakin Incredible Hulk tighten the bolt.

I got a spare distributor in. Seems a lot better. The old gear was a little worn but nothing too crazy.

We'll see how it runs this week

So I cut the tabs off the distributor and retarded it a few degrees. All is well for now. I'll see how it runs on a cold start tomorrow.

Now to figure out why I had to do that
