The what does Bell do right list is shorter.
Imagine buying a brand new car. Drive it off the lot. On the way home, the transmission fails.
Now imagine there's no warranty. And the only place you can buy a new transmission from is the dealership you bought the car from.
Or, you can have the transmission rebuilt. Except the only people that have the parts to repair it are the dealership you bought the car from.
Or you could just take the loss and sell the car to someone. Except nobody wants your car because they have to get it fixed by the same people that you have to pay to fix it and they don't want to deal with the hassle.
So you pay for it. And the American economy keeps spinning.
I hope that was just an example because I think repair costs would be the least of my concerns if my helicopter's transmission failed.
But wow, that sucks. I don't suppose they're in a hurry to certify anyone else's parts as fitting their helis, either :confused1
