Important

I love transmissions. Dad built them on the side for as long as I can remember. I enjoy the challenge.

Working on the next home project. Getting 200 amp service to the garage.

I dove right into that one " How hard can it be?"

it's maddening. I gained a new found respect for someone that wants ti fiddle with little bitty parts and such everyday, and that comes from someone that can take a cell phone apart and repair it in 30 minutes.

I'm gonna stick with my 5 speeds. Way easier to change a clutch and some bearings than it is to make an auto work properly for me.

Auto transmissions are magical except for the electronics.

I'll dive right into rebuilding a manual, whatever. Easy. Auto? Yeech, hell with that. If I have to go inside an auto, it's coming out and being replaced by a manual.

Re: Re: Important

So you are saying you know where NOT to run the air line...

I don't know where else to run it, it went down the firewall and underneath the Jeep to the longarm then back up to the axle. I think I'm going to run it in some fuel line to help protect it. I have it running in fuel line from the axle to wear it makes contact with the body right now

Well ran the rain gutter on the jeep down a tree this weekend at the badlands. Has anybody ever made any type of simple type of bar mounted to protect the rain gutter at all or have any ideas?

tons of roof sliders around. some are tied into internal cage, a la hobag style, others are tied into the factory well nuts for the roof rack.
I think someone was selling theirs in the classified not too long ago. Maybe that was in the WF swap meet. Can't remember.

Cheap easy deflater.

is this the bearing im looking for to replace the wheel bearings on my ford 9 inch?

https://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,catalog,118,partnum,SET20,d,TIMKEN_SET20.html

i googled the part number off of the bearing i replaced. and i googled set20. this came up, but it doesnt appear that the number on the bearing is the same as what i have. 2 of them will be the same price as 1 of what (i think) i need from napa, so its tempting to just try it.

Had damn near 6" of snow on my truck this morning... i love spring
