So since we were on the topic of cable shifters for the 231/242 I thought I'd throw this out here first.

I've came to terms that my 242 will not survive much longer sooooo I'm not going to use the cable shifters. If anyone is looking to buy a new set cheaper than what Novak is selling them for let me know or they're going up in the classifieds.

Jed finally gave me the official rundown on my job, duties, etc.
Getting paid more than I expected, with possible overtime pay. Longer days during planting season.
Paid more during harvest when I run the combine.
Cash pay if I want to mow the lawns (easy money).
They're paying my health insurance if dads blue cross drops me for being out of state.

Get a week off this year somewhere around July.

Up to two months off next year. Unpaid though.
Possible additional PAID month off each year after that.

I'm supposed to be running the "store", moving stuff, doing inventory, etc now. That is my main job. He says I may end up wrenching on combines when spring overhaul time comes. Occasionally going on service calls to help too.

In the next day or two I'm learning to run the forklift, refresher on making hydraulic hoses, and refresher on batteries/cables (he's an interstate dealer).

We also know a guy with a massive metal shop (Hall industries, look it up) I'm going to see if he can cut jeep parts for me

Call me when you get a moment

Re: Re: Important

Dylan, your dad's insurance will pay, they are paying for my son to live in Canada as a student, until he turns 26

That's what I thought.

Tyler, I think we've talked about these before.

well hello.

Might as well swap fancy shifters in the racecar when I swap super fancy 242.

Let me know what you think of it. Have looked at them in the past but don't really know if they are worth the time to swap the stock shifter out for one.

Instructions call for less than two hours

Going back to those links that mac posted about the novak shifters, is the main difference between the to keeping the stock shifter?

looks like the linkage design you have to have a new shifter and the cable design to keep the OE shifter...

advantage to either?

Didn't buy the 13" Yeti from Smash hole, instead got two 3" Squatch's with the flood pattern. Will get the Yeti later.
