Important

I have the vest I used Friday to lead my trail. I forgot to give it back. Who do I need to send it to?

whoops, my vest is still in the suburban.

work sucks after wheeling.

I had a 2000 Dakota with the 4.7 v8 and it was a decent little truck. Never really have us any problems.

What do we think of the dodge Dakota? I know it's a dodge but I'm in the market for a mid size pickup and the dak is in my price range

With a manual they are ok... I would never buy one with an auto, personally.

Engines: 2.5L I4 (same exact block as a jeep), 3.9 V6 (makes same power/torque as a 4.0 basically), 5.2/5.9 V8, 3.7/4.7 V6/V8
Transmissions: AX15 in some, NV3550s in others, etc. Good gearboxes.
Transfer case: NP231D, it's only got like a dozen different parts that make it not an NP231J.
Rearend: chrysler 8.25 in some, 9.25 in others.
Front diff: D36 ICA I think? I forget. I haven't heard of any real failures in it, whatever it is.

I would stay away from the autos and the 3.7/4.7 for valve-dropping/oiling issues... the rest? decent/good.

I had a 2001 Dakota QuadCab 4x4 4.7L/auto. It was a great truck until it got totalled. Mileage sucked, but all Dodge trucks suffer from that.

Work sucks. who wants to go wheeling in April? i didn't wheel in the quarry or green trails at all this weekend and i kinda got the itch to wheel still.

I do! I would be down for a trip in April. There's also the Redbird trail cleanup in May (probably).

Need to get the spring Redbird clean up scheduled.

Yes, yes.

We are in the early stages of trying to get this together and make it more appealing for people to attend.

There may even be some giveaways...... :dunno:

also saw on that silly jeep facebook page that you can get MTR kevlar 35's for $763 shipped with a coupon code and they have an $80 mail in rebate from 4wd hardware...thats less than $700 for MTR 35's. not a bad deal.
