I always thought the Hobarts with better guts were just Millers hahaha

considered lincoln?

headquartered in cleveland.

I'd buy a dual voltage one.
Just for the future when you have access to 220. I wish I had one, it would be nice to take the welder somewhere and use it.

I'm not brand loyal. I don't have the extra money or a dual voltage and I really don't think I'll have 220 anytime soon to make it worth it. I'll check out Lincoln too.

Well, I hurt my back at work last week. Initially, I didn't think much about it because my job is very labor intensive and a sore back is normal. As the weekend went on it worsened. I called off work yesterday and had a doc appointment this morning. I have severe muscle spasms and was put off work for the week. They gave me some muscle relaxers, and a couple prescription pain killers. I have another appointment Friday.

This timing sucks, I have a handful of things I need to finish on the Jeep, and there is the possibility I may not be better by Winterfest. IF I am not feeling 100% come next week, my plan is to attend without my jeep. At the moment, I could not even strap my Jeep to the trailer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Don't take no for an answer. They will give you relaxers and pain pills to cover it up and you'll feel better for a while. Then you'll do the same thing that you did the first time you hurt it and you'll be in exactly the same place. Make the doctor tell you what's wrong with you and tell him you want a diagnosis, not a treatment for a symptom.

Yeah, I know how comp doctors work. My main concern is feeling better for next week, then I will work on a diagnosis. :D

Fore 'cover it up till after the wedding' Wheeler

I have a little 110 century that has been great for minor fab and sheet metal work, I bought a Hobart Handler 185 (I think that is the right number) from a farm supply store, it has held up great with zero problems, and we have the old trusty copper wound Lincoln red box.....it is older than me by about 15 year I would assume, and still burns hotter than the night after a one night stand with Wheeler.......we have been looking at either a Miller bobcat or something similar to put on our service trailer so that we have a generator/welder combo and the ease of being able to move it over to a truck etc if needed.

Cheese "buzz, buzz, sizzle, sizzle" Man

Kohler engine powered Miller Bobcat. EFI if you can pull it off to save some fuel.

got to represent my company ;)

Yeah but 220 is worth it eventually..... I spent a little more money just so I didn't have to do the big wallet dance again.

Hobart 187 220v, Tyler bought a 210 when he started rock solid and he's still using the same one. Mine is about 4 years old now

Well froze my butt of tonight but got lots of stuff done. Finished the camper stove and opened it up to start loading it up for WF. Realized how much the fabric doesn't want to stretch when its cold.

Also decided to put the zj to work towing a trailer full of scrap and aluminum cans in to get scrapped.

That's what I thought. Some frickin wicked ice!

The big pile ups they are showing on the news is mostly down river from our parents place. But if they don't do something about it. Our stretch of river is gonna get deep. Chances are it will get in their place If it hasn't already.

Radials?

How much?

I'm due for some new trailer tires soon, probably before Harlan. The tread is not too bad, it's just that they're the original tires and the trailer was built in 2007.

My stiffners and rock rails were welded on with a 110v Miller or Lincoln, can't remember. Worked great according to Gene.

That's a good price on tires, need to remember that for my camper this spring.
