I just ordered seven 33/10.50/r15 Bfg A/t's For the Jeep/trailer and full size spare.

Got them from Summit for what seemed like a really good deal $1100 shipped.
Seems really cheap considering Both Chachi and I paid like $900 or a bit more to to get our 31/10.50/r15 Bfg a/t's and we both only got 4.

Considered getting Km2's but this article kind of helped me decide to stay with the a/t's I have been happy with.

My only comment is that article is old! The MTs are the old style not the KM2.

mac 'love my KM2's' gyvr

Up for 3 hours already...waiting for a meeting to start that I'm pretty sure doesn't actually:) happen till 2 pm. I'm half tempted to crawl under the skirted table for a nap.

Note to self...
Don't lean back in chair then fall asleep....you will end up on the floor. Glad I woke up on the way down and gracefully landed :) I'm also glad no one else is in the room right now

lol, took me a minute to find it.

thats all the snow you have!? we are ass hole deep up north.

We missed the foot of snow by about 30 miles. The only issues I've had are me on ice. That's why I burnt a vacation day on Monday.

I guess they are too big to cause valve stem issues?

I saw some brands use a valve stem filter, I wouldn't want to have a problem w airing down or my trailhead deflators.

I would like to know what they are made of to make sure they don't break down into anything crazy. My buddy that worked at a tire shop recommended ceramic he mentioned hearing some use glass and it is nasty when they break down.

Rew snapped a picture of hobags balls after more than a years of use.

cant remember where he posted it but im sure if he ever shows up to work today he will read this and post it again for you.

i had 12oz on each tires and the balance was still off. so i took it all off and put ho's balls in them and love it know.

Ive got a set of JK Rubi take offs on my Tahoe. They look like the old style BF MT's. I'm actually surprised as to how well they do in the snow considering there so siping what so ever in the tread pattern... What I'm not impressed with is the tread life. While I don't really know for sure how many miles are on them (it should be around 10k). They seem to be wearing very quickly. Of course the fact they are on a 6000lbs suv V/S a 3500lbs suv may have a factor.....

HOBAG ball review

bfg AT's are the tits for mild wheeling and DD'ers

On a vehicle that didn't get wheeled at Redbird, I'd run AT's. Sure, K5matt runs his AT's there and does fine but I like having more traction on muddy trails. Just a personal preference. Plus I like the look of aggressive tires on a jeep without flares.

I hate KM2's for snow and ice. I'd go so far as to say they are dangerous. Worked great on rocks but they were so bad on snow I actually replaced mine when they were half worn out.

True points about the difference between the BFG Km2's and AT's. I have ran both want to make the KN2's out shine the AT's where the AT's usually work better take you KM2's to Discount tire and have them sipe the center section for $12. Hands down take away the scary part on ice and wet roads and they will grab rocks like a suction cup...not like a GY MTR Kevlar but very nice. I Have to agree with Chetta about better AT's being out there the tread pattern on the BFG AT's is sort of out of date.....Still a great tire but others out there.... My points come from having All three styles on my heep and ran the KM2's siped and non siped.....

Maybe I should try Hobag's Balls?
I am a bit unsure though as i'm new to balls.

I have Hobag's balls on my work bench :D was going to use them on the MTR's after the beadlocks but did not need them ...saving them for the Creepy's

Ram" going to need more of Hobag's balls"Rod

Looked up kevlars for the new ride today, 35s are $60 more than 33s.....will be a tough decision :D

I haven't personally ran the kevlars yet but have talked to many people who have and everyone really likes them. Maybe after these old style km's wear out we will step up to a set of 35" kevlars.
