This boggles me. How can you go from being one of the most feared D, to being man handled on the run, and almost every other level also.

Come on! Was Lovie that good with the D? was it all Brian? Or has the absence of both of them hurt the overall moral?


That being said, this is the best offense I think I have seen in the past 15 years of fallowing the team.

Age... speed or lack there of now. Serious, serious lack of talent.

Until last night... Peppers has been absent all season, Briggs was playing with a pack of scrubs, and McClellan was making Emery look alot like Angelo in the first round.

The management spent a shit ton of resources on the offense this off-season. And conversely almost nothing on the defense.

The Bears lived on reputation and turnovers rather than actually being a good defense the last couple years.

Or look at the drafts to figure out what has happened.

2013... 6 picks... 4 of the players selected started last night. 5 are on the roster.

2012...6 picks.. 3 of the players selected started last night. 3 are on the roster

2011 5 picks... 2 of the players selected started last night.. 2 are on the roster. (And both played pretty awfully)

2010 6 picks.. 1 of the players started.. 1 other played. 2 are on the roster. The starter did not play well. The reserve did play well.

2009 9 picks... 1 player on the roster. On IR...

2008 12 picks 4 players on the roster. 1 started, the rest played. The starter played well... the others not so much.

The vast majority of GOOD NFL rosters are made up of players with 5 years of service or less. The Bears have 17 players drafted in the 5 years on their team.

Now if we look back to Urlacher's selection in 2000... Of the players selected by the Bears from 2000-2007... there are three remaining on the their roster. Briggs, Tillman and Hester are the only players left from the desert of the draft.

Emery has a load of roster spots to deal with and simply doesn't have the resources to undo Angelo-itis overnight.

If Lovie was there this year... the defense would still stink, but the offense would also.



And remember.. everytime you think fondly of Urlacher... remember to say thank you to Cade McNown being so unbelievably awful...

trestmans number one priority was fixing the offense...its well on its way. i have no doubt they will go after defensive players this time. i actually feel really good about trestman. for the first time i feel like a bears coach has a plan....and the ability to build solid qb's. mccown could turn out to be a solid backup.

its going to be a long year, but the future looks hopeful
 
I just took the h4 housings out of my xj (both were aimed like crap and pointed in the sky) and put them in the wife's jeep, HOLY CRAP!!!! what a difference, I'm very impressed, they even have a sweet halo type light around the outside I never knew about Lol.

I have H4 housings in the 95. That thing never sees the road, let alone the road at night, but they make a significant difference. I'll be better off with all the rock lights I plan on sticking on the thing.

H4 housings will go into the 97 when I get around to ordering the harness. Along with a whole laundry list of things BOTH Jeeps need.
 
Sister in law just posted a pic of her son with a present they got him for his 6th birthday. It's him holding up a Barbie in the box with the biggest pink dress, he has the biggest smile. I swear they are encouraging the gay in him.
 
I have the h4 housing and the upgraded wiring harness and I remember with just the housing the change was dramatic. Then when I got the wiring harness it, yikes. Don't know how I put up with the crap sealed beam units before. I was at Walmart the other day and noticed they have LED driving lights now. Probably going to pick up a pair later.
 
I only have one headlight right now.
 
Just found out some information today that might change my plans next year for the good. I might have had four vacation weeks since 2011 and didn't know it. I been thinking I would get my fourth week of vacation in 2015 (10 years full time). Apparently part time might count for service to work also. If it does, I will be at WF14 both days.
 
now that it is dark out way early I am tempted to pickup the Truck light LED headlights, but they are so damn expensive...
