Important

It's more the camping in a field in March issue... gets coooooold in a tent if you aren't prepared.

I had a free candy van to sleep in, so I just used a low temp sleeping bag, warmed the thing up to like 70-80 degrees inside before going to sleep, shut it off, passed out, and woke up a little chilly.

Should be just like back home, seen it snow on the July 4th holiday in the hills. My kind of fun!

Have fun. I think josh was right about going east through the pass sucked more than coming west.

What gave that away? Was it the jeep screaming like a raped ape all the way to the pass? :D

well...the journey never stops.

looks like we will be closing the book on living in/near nyc after the baby is born. after weighing all of options, it will just be too much of a pain in the ass to try to raise a kid in the city. we had planned on staying a few years, but the baby was sort of an unexpected blessing in disguise. we have a few plans, but the most logical is to move out by where melissa's parents are, which puts us about 3 hours east of cleveland. i will still come to the city to do shows, but now when i leave she will have endless amounts of family/friend support which will be especially important. The deal was pretty much sealed when we looked at housing prices out there. the job market is pretty bad there, but i will be doing most of my work out of town so im not concerned. we are also pursuing the idea of melissa opening her own bridal store. its something we've talked about a lot, but realized it was impossible out here. in here hometown there is actually a huge need for it and some very nice incentives in the area for people starting businesses. i think we decided today its pretty much a done deal. the first house i found online is the one i really want and of course, she doesn't like it lol. there are other great options, but the thought of having a shop, a garage, a shed and a small cabin on the property...plus 3.8 acres of LAND for $43k absolutely blows my mind. when i freelance, there are times when i am home for weeks at a time to do work. plus if we can put 1/4 down the mortgage and taxes are going to be pretty low. we will be spending our own money on health care, but even with the cost of health care weighed in, it would still be less than just our rent out here. that leaves plenty left for upgrades/repairs.

this whole idea is still taking time to sink in, but i really think its absolutely the right choice. if there wasn't a child on the way, we would be staying here no question, but our plans have changed a lot since before we decided to move. i'm pretty sure this child is happening for a reason, and i welcome this move with open arms.

Up towards Buffa-tucky??? Most of my mom's family is strung between Cleveland and there along the 90 corridor. My grandparents lived on an I-90 farm.

I too agree, the I70 pass going east seemed to be a bit more difficult...got down to 35 mph.

My tranny has to hate me and deserves a flush soon.

Did you bring them? If so, you either took them to the wrong place or they got taken (I doubt the last part).

I woke up this morning and found some leaf springs and a front hitch on my porch. No clue where they came from but I'm not complaining!

Drove the XJ down to BK to grab a quick bite (forgot my lunch) and the lady in the import behing me was raising all kinds of hell yelling out her window "your car stinks!" and "Get that tank off the road"

My Response: Yelled "Its a JEEP" out the window, and rev'd to the limit...
