Important

Don't know how much longer I can hold off really wanting a dog, especially after Feb. when I get married and move into a house with a fenced in yard. The only hard part will be to choose between a chocolate or black lab, basset hound or beagle.

I love labs. My chocolate lab-wiemer mix is the best dog by far I've ever owned. Funny to hear you guys down on beagles though. I've never owned one but one of my best friends has one and it's a really cool dog.

Chocolate lab/pointer mix here. Great dog except her bark is annoying. Ask Jason tomorrow morning! :D

2 Pit bulls here...

Called the courthouse to check the status of my title paperwork, they can't find it and are making me re-submit it all.

:banghead:

I've been waiting to turn any bolts on this Jeep until I have the title in hand, but I may say screw it soon.

Our best dog came from the shelter, he's full blood lab.

If I can find a full breed registered lab at the shelter I will get one there. The only reason I don't get one now is because I don't live at the house yet (won't until 2/7).

what im asking is why do you need a full breed registered dog? are you hunting? are you showing? are you breeding?

save a life if it will just be a house dog

Love that.

If I do get a lab, that is the only time I will buy a pure breed. Other then that, it will be a shelter dog.

Shelter/rescue dogs are awesome. Out of the eleven dogs I've had, only one came from a breeder. After I put my last dog down, I was looking at pits at the shelter. Somehow my friend convinced me take a stray in that was hanging around his work and that animal control couldn't catch. Definitely not a pit, but she's amusing.
