Bimmer:

What a douchnozzle calls a bmw automobile. Douchenozzles who drive "bimmers" will make sure that the unwashed masses do not call them "beemer"; to do so is apparently a grave offense against car enthusiasts everywhere, as a beemer is a BMW motorcycle.

Person 1: Nice beemer!
Person 2: It's a bimmer, idiot.
Person 1: *Punch* Who cares, you condescending bucket of douche? Get over it. BEEEMER!!!!

Got another windshield put in. Hopefully this one lasts longer than 3 hours.

Learned my lesson. Safelite uses some cheap ass China glass..

On my way to work I ggunned it to pass a slow semi and while winding out 3rd gear my cel flashed a handful of times then went out. It ran a little rough when the light was flashing then smoothed out when it went out. I drove the last 10 miles to work and everything went normal. Any ideas pneumonia what could have happened or what i should look at? Its '98 4.0 ax15..

A flashing CEL means there was a severe misfire. The flashing is warranted because the misfire could cause catalytic converter damage. Not sure about XJs but many PCMs will stop firing the injector on the misfiring cylinder to prevent converter damage.

I had it happen on my ZJ the other day, very briefly. If it's running fine now, I'd wait and see if it happens again. Then start with the usual suspects from cheapest to most expensive, depending on what extra parts you have around to swap. Plugs, cap/rotor, ignition coil, injectors. It would probably be worth hooking up a code reader too; it probably stored a code even if the CEL went out.

just paid a deposit through paypal for these

Those are a steal, even with the obnoxious rims! You could probably get at least a couple hundred for the rims, and still come out way ahead.

Got pulled over today for doing 45 in a 30, got a warning. I don't know why, maybe I caught the trooper on a good day, maybe it was because I turned on my hazards as soon as I seen him pull out, maybe it was because I had my drivers license and registration out by the time he caught up to me where I had stopped. I don't care, I didn't get a ticket.

Did you know that it takes twice as long to stop from 35 mph than it does from 25 mph?

That's why school zones and residential areas are 25 mph.

Maybe you should try slowing down and being a little safer instead of being excited that you dodged a citation. 15 over around here will get you a court date. On base, it will get you 90 days suspended.
