Thats probably what it is.

For the next time, If you have a stuck caliper. If you break the bleeder loose and it frees up then the hose it bad and the caliper returned like it was suppose to. If when you break it loose it stays stuck its the hose. If its stil stuck after all this you can work your way back deeper doing the same process.

This ^^

I did a lot of the rubber lines on the big Ford trucks at the dealership, could make some decent money off em...

Reminds me, need to check the brakes on the van before Moab.

Wasn't line or caliper...

More later...

Not sure it's fixed but it's related to the rotor and dually spacer...

Got all the plugs replaced on the F150, put in a plug thats one step hotter than stock because I keep reading that the factory plugs get too much build-up on them from being too cold. Now if Fastenal would just deliver the torque wrench I ordered so I could put it back together... Every torque wrench in the shop is either busted or of questionable reliability...

Also ordering my New Miller 252 today! This = :D

Gallbladder free for 24 hrs

Had mine taken out a few years ago.

Why did they take yours? Gall stones or a bad gallbladder?

I was passing stones. Never had anything hurt like that. You'll find new and exciting ways to time your bowl movements.

I've heard so many stories of foods people can't eat but it didn't change my eating habits at all. The only thing is if I eat something greasy in the morning I need to stick close to the bathroom for a bit.

I was thinking that, but figured it was the hose. Torqued down too tight, warping it?

It never crossed my mind until I spent $100 bucks replacing the brake line and caliper.

If I loosen the bolts on it and just tap it the wheel frees up. I don't know if you can over tighten the bolts. I tightened it back up with a good cris cross (will make you jump jump), and it would spin fine. Pump the brakes and it's hard to spin.

I'm gonna drive it and break the brakes in and see if some good heat doesn't just fix it all.

Otherwise I think it's the rotor out of wack on the mounting surface.

Stones and infected , had a couple attacks that only lasted 1/2 hour so I just thought it was gas, last attack I had lasted 7 hours and was worse pain I ever experienced.

Interesting... I've had times when tightening caliper bracket-to-knuckle bolts I tightened too much and the bolt threads through the hole and hits the rotor causing similar issues... I don't remember, did you put new rotors on? Maybe there's different option rotors for different years and the offset of the rotor is too deep on the new rotor? Or maybe just shotty machining?

I could understand being so close to the trip not wanting to waste time on it, but it is a a major system on the truck...

so, a cheezy guy put in a sealed bid on a 2001 XJ that was county owned and only has 88K on it....will know if said cheezy guy will have a new build platform on the 15th of October.....

Cheese "cheezy guy" Man

Well shit the shop says the ARB is not worth putting new seals in.
New Yukon gears/ARB Installed $2300

I suppose you wouldn't put a New ARB in with the old gears or something .

It will be done in time but there goes $ for renting or borrowing a tow rig.

That sucks but I think your XJ will make it just fine.

Power stop rotors

Replacing the first set they sent that was warped after the Koh trip.

I'm gonna break them in per there procedure and go from there.

Sheesh, seals are no way that expensive and I don't see why it would change the gear setup. Id risk doing it myself at that point.

And yes, I would put a new arb in with the old gears. Absolutely no reason not to, you have to reproduce the same backlash/pattern as the old setup had, and get good carrier bearing preload. That's stuff I did myself in my yard lying on a sheet of foam under the rear of my truck with a 20 dollar HF dial indicator on my 8.25 when I installed my lsd. It isn't complicated, you can get all the tools to do it yourself for a few hundred... and that's assuming it isn't just seals, which I don't see why you couldn't do yourself for a couple hundred or less.
