Do the math on the way home. I'd bet that's close if you're not driving it like I drive mine.

dear men of the mwc...

we have got to work on our ability to produce male offspring...we are striking out a lot lately. heres to 18 years of polishing a shotgun on the front porch.

on a more serious front, we cleared a major hurdle today. after our last ultrasound we were tagged as a high risk pregnancy and got referred to a specialist. due to a measurement they take at that ultrasound we were given the 1 and 5 possibility of having a child with down syndrome and a high risk of a few other chromosomal disorders and cardiac issues. down syndrome being the most common...after getting the bloodwork back today we were reduced to a 1 in 10,000 chance of the 3 most common chromosomal disorders. we are not out of the woods for heart defects or other anomalies, but they are much less common. given the fact that the baby is progressing normally, all of the bloodwork is normal, and the fact that the heart beat is always loud and strong at this point the doctors have told us we should be very optimistic. i feel like a big weight has been taken off our shoulders. we will take whatever god gives us and be happy, but knowing we have less to worry about is a great feeling.

Lit a garbage can on fire today in the shop. These new biodegradable bags light up way too easy. I don't know whose idea it was to change to these

i cant exactly relate, as i have no little ones of my own... but i cant imagine that hearing, seeing, and knowing your newborn is strong and healthy has got to be a big thing.

congrats on the new "woman" in your life.

Congrats Craig, good news!

Congrats Craig.

Daughters hold a very special spot in your heart. Nothing compares, except maybe a son. Lol.

thanks dan...

im equally as excited to have a girl. i am the most excited that we were able to rule out major chromosomal defects. needless to say the last few weeks were a little rough on us. even though 1 and 5 is still and 80% chance that everything is fine, it looks scary on paper. 1 in 10,000 is a lot less scary.

I see pink NAXJA items in my future.

Got news last night that there's going to be a wedding next year.

Congrats Ash and Cam (livin4wheelin)

Thank you! Turns out planning a wedding is more work than anticipated..

Heck yeah!

Polar "open bar!" Jeep

Sorry.. We're too poor for that. :(

Congrats Craig.

Yes they are! Just not looking forward to being in your shoes in 20 years. :wow:

Yeah, the whole planning a wedding thing, time to get back to working on it (haven't thought much about it since March when all the venues got secured). At this point it is down to little things (caterer, marriage counseling {part of using the church}, and some other things). Maybe in a few years I can convince Sarah for us to get a TJ Rubi or do upgrades to my jeep as a fun vehicle.

lifted the bow of a 15ft aluminum boat off of the trailer today... with one hand...

couldnt use both hands, my other hand was pinched between the keel and a roller as i was winching up the trailer.

dont ask...

swollen like a mofo, looks like i have a golf ball in the back of my hand, but dont think its broken... still fishing tomorrow.

F'in hurts though... is that like, "the strength of a mother seeing her child under a car?"

yeaaaaaaa....

what i really mean is, "i know, it was incredibly stupid of me. not exactly darwin worthy, but stupid none the less. luckily, it worked out much better for me than it could have. which always seems to be the case..."

anytime i did something stupid growing up my father would ask me, "what the hell happened?" or, "what the hell were you thinking?" before lecturing me. im sure some of you guys can relate.

thats why i said, "dont ask," lol.
