Important

I know the feeling. I've got some stroker components laying around and I'm unable to admit to myself that I'll likely never build one.

If someone makes me an offer I can't refuse, I'd likely let them go, but I'm not going to make an official thread.

99+ intake, 4.2 crank and rods and an APN header. If someone wants to offer, feel free. Otherwise, they don't take up that much space.

actually...

what year is the crank from? i have a machinist up by my shop who wants to help me build a stroker. he is a buddy of the landowner where my shop is. he gave me a handful of free valve springs last week and was going to give me a 6 cyl head that was rebuilt until he realized it was for a 4.2...he said he would work on a 4.0 any day of the week over a v8. way less work and fun to work on according to him. i told him i would definitely be down with a stroker build!

nice...im on year 3, but in need of a new battery pretty badly. other than that runs like a top. how big of a screen did you get?

13. The big screens kill the battery and I got used to having a smaller one. I bought one of the aftermarket batteries for mine, but I don't think it performs like my original apple battery did.

Putting more ram in it helped a lot.

yeah i have the 13 as well. much easier to carry on and off a plane...now that i have it, i'll never go back to a big screen. the only time i need it is for video editing and i have mac towers at work for that now

Tapatalk upgraded itself on my phone I don't like it.

That's what I thought at first but then ended up liking it more than the old version.

Got them from Mark a while back... This was saved in my PM box.
All I know about the crank & rods is that they came from a YJ era 258. This dude in CT pulled the engine from his YJ and replaced it with a 4.0 from a MJ.

stock muffler and tail pipe on and jeep washed. damn thing is almost presentable now!

said goodbye to the j10 with a heavy heart :( i have another mj now...needs more work than i expected but the cab and frame are in better shape than i expected. it will need a new box eventually....but for now meh. its weird, the frame is almost perfect, but one of the floors is rusted out. how does that happen???

out with the old...in with the new. it was very cathartic...good to get rid of a huge pile of parts. sad to see the old girl go. i will build a diesel fsj in my lifetime. this was just not the right time

Started some yard improvement projects today, none of them got finished due to not having enough of the proper tools, materials or tools breaking. This is my "big" project. It is going to be a place to set my fire pit (fire bowl actually) for having fires outside. Since the grass was killed here anyway due to the previous owners fire pit, I decided to make a nicer area for it. It will be level with the ground so I can just roll over it with the mower. Also will double as a base for my smoker when I use it. I need to get some paver sand (Sarah's parents have some) and level it out and then it will be done.

I about had to pick car out of the front of the neon...Guy hit a trailer with no lights on it at night and swerved my way, barely missed it.

well...now i guess the search for mj parts begins. cab corners and rockers appear to be great, im just going to do the floors now and get it out of the way. will eventually be doing a 4wd swap as well. overall there are a lot of positives about the truck...i think it was a fairly even swap. its also 25 years old which means i can put historical plates on it in nj and won't have to get an emissions inspection...

the best part is, whoever had it before me put an upside down 8.25 on the rear...seriously?

isnt that the second time the neon almost got wiped out...you better be careful, that sucker has a target on it

Find me a cheap Subaru without blown head gaskets!

Well yeah! It's much easier to keep filling the diff at 25% than to weld on new perches.
