The owners before me removed the A/C system that was tied into the central Air before they got foreclosed on. Right now I have a 20" fan at the bottom of the stairs blowing the cooler air up, still hot as hell.

Windows open to the side so unless I come up with something I cannot do a window A/C unit. I have thought about replacing the door going out to the deck to install a window A/C.

Waiting for Fall to buy a full system for cheap.

Exactly what I was going to say.

I have window units. a big 220v 18.5kbtu one in the living room pretty much cools the whole down stairs when it's not hell like it has been. A 5kbtu helper in the kitchen if you're out there cooking. A 8.5k in the big bedroom upstairs, and a 5k in my room. The 220v one down stairs is always on 75 when I'm not here, and 70 when I am. My room goes to 65 when I sleep and off when I'm not, the girls room is 70 when they are here and sleeping. Off when they're not, and the kitchen one is on as needed. Dad has two 6k upstairs that are turned all the way down. He says they pretty much cool the whole house, and the big one downstairs only runs when shes cooking or it gets nasty hot like it's been. He claims his electric bill only goes up $40 a month in the summer.....

Mac you should be able to add A/C to your existing system for way less the $2k.....
 
I need a house a/c to add to the existing furnace to cool 1700 sq ft

I'm looking for someone that is good with photoshop or the like that can change a picture for me...

Its a picture of a patch from another department that we want to modify for our department for our negotiators.
