Important

my air is set at 73 when im home. my wife changes it to 75 but when i walk in the door it goes back down. 69/70 in the winter.

half my windows are broke either don't open or are missing and the only thing there is a storm window. i would guess that about 20%of what i pump into the house goes right out the shity window.

next years income tax is for new windows for the entire house

Winter the house is set at 64. I'm a cheap bastard, ask mac
I had mine at 55 most of the winter. Only two rooms heated (bathroom, bedroom) the rest are still being rebuilt and I don't have a furnace.

I handle cold a lot better than I handle heat. I am pretty sure I am going to melt if we get another few days of this.

Yes, more comfortable for littler peeps than big peeps.

Thats what id be looking for. i got the kids 6 and 3. with the pics on your site i wasn't sure where all the bars go. its far down my shitlist though, next time im around one you built i will take a look at it.

If I did that one would be for sale too.

Should have sold this one instead of bringing it home.

Someone had a bad day on the trail or in the garage lol

Sometimes it's like that.

XJs are like Motorcycles or Aircraft. Tomorrow or a week from now you'll be thinking otherwise and ready to hit more trails.

I gave away my last 2 XJs. One was partially assembled and I told the guy that if he put it together that it was his.

AC is on here for most of the summer. Wife's allergies are murderous when it gets hot and humid out.

Ron.. the cable joke is actually pretty funny all things considered together.

that was one of the first meme's i ever made and i should have saved it! Josh were you at with it...
Sorry. :dunno:

I'm hoping that's what it is. Or if it isn't, I'd still like to see him show up at WF again.

XJosh 'talk about him like he's not here' 95

When I lived alone it was 68 all winter, 72 all summer. Can't sleep well in the warm.

no such thing as a 'dry' heat here...

mac 'have furnace and duct work in the garage already' gyvr

I wouldn't think it should be that hard to tie the AC into the duct work you have in the garage already. My Dad installed heating and cooling for years. I remember a little about it from helping out over the years.

Easy add ac unit and a coil be just like central air in the house...

mac 'just costs money' gyvr

all you guys talking about A/C, grr.

The owners before me removed the A/C system that was tied into the central Air before they got foreclosed on. Right now I have a 20" fan at the bottom of the stairs blowing the cooler air up, still hot as hell.

Windows open to the side so unless I come up with something I cannot do a window A/C unit. I have thought about replacing the door going out to the deck to install a window A/C.

Waiting for Fall to buy a full system for cheap.

I might be insane... I start my new job tomorrow and I am already dreaming of building a 4 bay shop. Apparently foundation work will cost approx. 3-5k for a 60x20 here. Ran the numbers and I'd be looking at around 25 square of roofing, plus a ton of lumber.

- Ken "and damnit it'll be insulated and have AC and heat" Stein

edit: just to be clear, I saved the old steam radiators from my house and will be saving the furnace (as long as it's not full of asbestos - pretty sure it isn't) when the asbestos abatement people take the insulation and piping away. I've had this shit planned for years, I just started thinking about it again now that I have a real income.

They make portable AC units, also slider window A/Cs are available.
