Important

Re: Re: Important

so my wife had a typical check up today at 2. after a bunch of test, they decided they wanted to wake they baby so they could monitor her movements.after they pushed and wiggled her belly to wake her, my wife had a contraction(1st one) then the babys heart rate slowed down. so they sent her to the labor hall and thats about when i got out of work. by the time i got home, she told me they where not sending her home.
gave her some meds to get her body ready and will be inducing tomorrow morning.

I've said it before, 1500 psi is a great steering stabilizer.

Why wouldn't I need (want) hydro assist?

This jeep will be the jeep I've always really wanted, it will have all the good parts to wheel hard off road, and then after a bath I can take T on date night.

I was looking at PSC and they want $800 for their kit, which includes a new box. No need to tap my existing box, but that's a lot of money to not tap my box.

i drove my buddies blazer with hyrdro assist... 35s and beadlocks. i instantly wanted assist. but, if your willing to tap the box yourself you can do it for around $100 if you find a decent deal on a ram. napa will make you custom lines while you wait. if we can do it in a college apartment, you can do it in your garage. ;)

Coming from experience, tap the top cover and get the replacement front cap with the bung welded in. Much easier than chasing balls through the shop. (unless you're into that sort of thing).

Buy psc's pump and pully

I'd start with a WJ PS pump. Zero steering issues with 33s and a front Aussie.

Wj pump and durango box is the cost of that assist kit.

Sorry no comparison, and no they don't turn 35s with ease. Atleast not aired down...

Been there done that

WJ pump and durango box are bolt on. With a power steering cooler I turn 35's with ease.

With hydro on a D30 it would be rough on the ball joints when you get to moving rocks with your steering. Keep it simple. Isn't that one of the reasons you're doing a smaller build jeep instead of keeping your "buggy" anyways?

My apologies. I didn't realize you were the foremost authority on vehicle modifications. It must be the helium in my tires.

Just trying to figure out how the power steering cooler turns your tires with ease???

It's a waste of money. A reman box is already $150+ and $100+ for the pump. It never did, and will never compare to assist. And you know what, 3 years down the road when he wants assist, he's got a Durango box he can't tap...
