What is everyone's thoughts on having disk brake in the rear? Thinking of doing this to suzi's Jeep but don't know if it makes that much difference. Mine has disks but was wondering what everyone's thoughts where are on it.

I would never own another jeep with drum brakes. It would be one of the first things I'd swap out, even if it was a daily driven stocker.

None of my Jeeps have rear discs.... My Expedition does. The Expedition stops so much better than the Jeeps ever could dream of and its nearly 7k lbs. I know its not a direct comparison, but its enough to convince me to look at disc brakes for the Jeep.

Well reason I ask is someone down the road is parting out a grand cherokee and is gonna sell me everything I need for the swap on our Jeep for $50. Didn't think that was a bad deal.

thats a VERY good deal...

I have pulled and sold a number of sets at $125-$150 plus shipping with very little argument over the price.

I'm pretty sure my tractor rides better than a YJ. Flexes better, too.

I've considered one day buying a YJ for a weekend cruiser. Sounds like weekends would need to be very close. I really don't like the idea of bashing my back up just to have an open top. Maybe I can find a fixer upper TJ someday.

I would like a TJ Rubi over all over Jeeps. I will have one someday.
