Important

No doubt. You guys are pretty thin for MWC guys. Most of us carry a few extree pounds. I'm gaining ground on the losing side. Lost more than 20# in recent months. 3 belt sizes!
Keep it up!

I am like Nate, I lose weight by accident. I gained 2-3lbs eating like a pig for the holidays and I recently lost a belt loop without meaning to.

Guy didn't take my offer on the mj...so no go on the tires. I offered him more than what it was worth in my opinion.,,he claimed he'd had a lot of higher offers. I told him I had cash in hand if he changes his mind :) guess I don't know why you would list anything for more than a week if you had good offers. It had nice longarms and nice tires, but it has a bad head gasket, one rusted rocker,a lift that is too big, stock axles with 4.10s and stock steering trying to move 37's

Anyone drove both a 4.0 WJ and a 4.7 WJ? Difference in fuel mileage? Noticeable power?

We've found an 04 WJ 4.0 with 85k for a good price and we haven't looked at it yet, but its near the top of the list for price and reliability.

Not driven a 4.7 so I can't speak for it. The 4.0 however is a gutless turd in the WJ. If your dead set on avoiding the 4.7 either get a ZJ or 06+ Grand. Realisticlly you should force him to get behind some other vehicles on test drives. Don't get me wrong I love the solid axle Jeeps, but if you're not wheeling it (or planning to) there are far better choices in DD. Personally I really like the 1/2 ton Chevy lineup for a DD. They ride nice and have more power than the comparable Fords. Not driven anything Chrysler in the 1/2 ton range.

He found an 04 Exploder he likes. I don't care what he buys, as long as he likes it. In the end, he still owns a Jeep...

What's the first thing I see when I wake up this morning? Rev in a utility kilt..... :roflmao:

Good for you Josh!

Keep it up!

Thanks for the encouragement! Portion sizes. I'm eating about half of what I used to, but still anything I want. Just not as much. I've been taking Harrison for walks when it's nice enough out. Ideally I'd like to be able to burn calories like that every day, but unless I can take the kid with me, it's hard to get out for that.

Meganne said I'm almost as small as when she met me. So just imagine me from WF10. I'm hoping to continue losing. Haven't been in un-stretched 36s for about 2 years. It's nice to be in better fitting jeans again. My 38s were falling off of me and way too baggy in the ass.
This has me a little happy, a little sad and a little scared.

I have driven both I-6 and V8 WJ's. I currently own the 4.7 non-HO version. The power feel is night and day difference. After owning one with the 4.7 I don't think I could go to a 4.0 version. Although I know the 4.0 is more reliable.

The gas mileage is not that different at all. I get an average of 15.5 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. Not to shabby from a V8.

I am selling my WJ though and getting back to an XJ. Just too many electrical gadgets and gizmos to break. I want something simpler. Plus I can sell it while it still has some value to it before it hits over 100k miles.

Who else from the MWC is going to NACFest with the Empire Offroad crew?? I know BeerGoggles is probably coming with us.
