Important

found a garage today that needs roof repair...guy offered me a free years rent on a 2 car garage in exchange for the repair. hmm...going over tomorrow to see how bad the roof really is.

Worst case it needs new decking...

2 car = what, 30x30? Maybe 1 pallet of shingles (around $1k for the expensive ones) but probably less if I had to guess
probably one roll of ice/water shield, $150
wild-ass guess, $500 in plywood. I spent ~$1k in ply doing 3/4 over my entire roof and only 1/2 or 5/8 is required if you use H-clips, so this is probably more than it would cost you
$50 in tarpaper

And I have almost an entire case of coil nails I bought (I needed like 6 more rolls than the first case had in it... doh) that you can have and a nailgun you can borrow.

Double check my numbers, but I don't think you can rent even a 1 bay storage unit type shop in the ghetto for less than that for a year.

While without actually being there to verify from the pic it does seem very likely you could be having LOS issues on the 129W orbital. It's not very high in the sky this far north. IIRC around 23*. The garage roof may actually be a no go either. Yeah you gain height, but you loose distance which gains you much more height over and object at distance than trying to go vertical if you get what I'm saying. You'd be better to move the dish back farther. I don't think its free but there is an app for your phone called dishpointer that works very well.

Most channels I do not get HD versions (especially ones I watch like Discovery and History), some channels I do. It says "signal loss on HD, switchign to SD". We didn't have many issues when it was temp. placed. I wasn't home when the tech put it on a pole, he told my dad that if he moved it six feet west that the dish would be in a better position. We didn't have many issues, but lost reception very easily when it moved. Of course I told my dad to complain but he never did.

This is roughly where the dish was temp placed and pointed.

This is where the guy put it who put it on the pole.

My phone is against the receiver part of the dish. Now the shed didn't help any, but still shouldn't be an issue if it was kept where it was.

Yeah the server crash messed that one up.

Got one with blue tooth, pandora, aux in, usb, AND XMsiruis ready...

Its all installed and very cool. I haven't bought a new radio in 5 years...

The sat radio will kick ass in moab...and at the badlands...and in harlan...and its a marine water resistance radio.

Now you're ballin'

I've had sat radio in the jeep since 2005. I prefer the mobile faceplate because you're not locked in to one vehicle and you can use it in the boombox.

I do the mobile setup for the truck, company car, the 5.9, and the dewalt radio. I wanted something a little more permanent and weather resistant in the LJ.

Neither can I, and I'm giving it away free and we do go through a lot of it. I guess everyone's too fancy for clear glass, they want factory tint.

Sam is due for some glass.... The way she drives its because she's more lucky than good. The dents prove it.
