Important

I would rather get tech from people that I know and trust then most of the yahoos that post in the tech forum

...it wasn't all technical, there were a couple food comments too

Dan,
I've had a lock rite since 2003, no problems with it at all.

JIM.

Enough tech...

Anyone ever been to the Indiana Dunes near Michigan City? Wife and I planning a trip there in June.

Reserved a campsite at a local campground and they told me that my 48 ft trailer was the biggest that they had ever heard of...

mac 'told me that I have the largest camping spot available...

mac 'taking the LJ to go cruising around' gyvr

I go fishing and a tech thread breaks out....My lock right has worked good. Makes a little noise under normal conditions. I hardly use 4wd unless it's deep snow.

Define ""Deep Snow"" in Central Indiana. Every time I go there, you don't even have enough snow to use a locker, let alone 4WD :D

Front or rear locker first?

44, 8.25, or 8.8?

*ducks for cover* let the holy war commence

I never though wheeling with a lunchbox was that big of a deal either, until I learned how easy it was to turn without the locker/s engaged.

I was joking :anon:

No need to answer any of those questions, though front/8.25 was my answer. Mostly because I got an 8.25 with matching gears and MJ perches on it already for $50, else it was going to be an 8.8. And a d30 aussie showed up on the classifieds for a good price.

I've been there for a day trip, but not for camping. It's a pretty cool spot.

I don't know if it was right, but I went with front Aussie first, then had another Aussie for the 8.25 that I had too much difficulty installing quickly the day before I left for WF11 and left it out, swapped in an 8.8 with a Detroit before WF12.

I knew you were joking, but do a thread search in tech and you'll find that is probably the most common thread behind only "What lift and tires?" You know this, too...
