I use a Sansa Fuze for my media device. It's only 16Gig total but it plays all the music I need it to.

I would store music to my BlackBerry for easy access, but my sd card in there is primarily full with pics and videos.

The 97 has a media player for a radio. No cd's for me in there. It takes SD, USB and a headphone jack for my Fuze. I wanna switch back to a higher quality unit. The tuner sucks and I get feedback from the media player after an hour or so. I usually notice it in Milwaukee though I've picked up on it as early as Sheboygan. That bugs the shit out of me, but now we're talking head units...

As far as cadillac converters go... I don't look under the vehicle for it unless I have to. Which is really rare.

I have an old 4 gig 2nd Generation nano hooked up to my radio. I did buy a newer 8gig nano for it, but the radio doesn't charge it, so until i run out of memory on the 4 gig (so close, but yet not close enough), I will be forced to use the 8 gig and charge it at night in the house.

I used it for more than music.

I listen to all my NASCAR on it and my Cincinnati Reds.

Plus some of the talk radio that I like.

I can drive across the country and never change the channel...in fact I just did it in Feb for KOH...never touched the channel or a cd...or an itouchedmypod...

When I had it I found that pretty much all I used it for was talk radio. Most of the talk radio I listened to I could get in any town on the radio.

I started to listen to podcasts. Mostly like talk radio but on subjects that interested me more. I got so burned out on politics. Started listening to some photography, tech and a few other types and felt I got a lot more enjoyment out of it than I did paying for XM.

FWIW, I don't think XM is a bad thing, just didn't work as well for me. I know a lot of guys in my industry who live and die by their sat radios and in a long haul semi it totally makes sense. Compared to the old days of cassette tapes and hunting for a radio station it was like a god send at first.

we routinely get jesus freaks on campus...

usually i just walk by and pay no mind. if they call me out on being a, "sinner, drinker, and fornicator," i usually just give them something smart to piss them off like, "how does jesus feel about bible blunts?"

but lately they have adopted the tactic of enlisting (what appear to be) 1st graders to hold their signs for them. like the kids even know what they are doing... makes me furious.

I run a "high flow" cat with a Flowmaster. By far the best sound I have ever gotten from it. The Flowmaster is built like a tank.

I bought the music on my computer and it won't let me download to my iPod. I've tried several different things including over WiFi and using the usb. I updated the iPod too. Maybe I need to reset it and start from scratch.

Can you get to itunes on your ipod?

You need to go to the purchased section and download them directly from apple. As long as you have the same account logged into your ipod that you do on your computer, there should be no issue.

Otherwise you need to get out your 8 tracks and stick with what you know
