While I very much love my 5 speed and will always have one in a hardcore trail rig, the auto in the racecar is really nice to wheel.
you have never owned a hard core trail rig.

You could trip tow with the fifth wheel to Cali...and to Moab...except Utah...

If it took Nate an hour it took Glenn twice that ...then twice that again the next year.....I saw it go through lions den....one of the most entertaining hours of my life.
Short"might have been longer, still epic"xjdoug
Just knocked $25/month off my directv bill by calling and telling them I was going to cancel. I also got starz and showtime for three months free.
My two year contract expired recently and it seems they want to keep me around. As much as I hate them, its cheaper than the alternatives at the moment...

It's pretty easy to love Direct TV. All you need to do is sign up with Dish or Comcast for awhile. You'll never complain again. At least in my experience. Tried all three. They all suck but Direct TV sucked the least by at least double.
Really??? Direct has been my least favorite. Most weather problems, customer service as bad as Comcast and nothing special vs. Dish.
I totally understand this issue is like Ford, Chevy and Dodge. Everybody has their reason to love one brand but in reality they all suck (except for Fords. Their suckage is on a whole higher level but I digress) but ill give you my story.
When I moved into this house I went from Comcast to Direct TV. When we had Comcast it was horrible. It rains and it goes out, wind...goes out. I fart...it goes out.
Moved in, had it with their crap so we got Direct TV. The first installer did a crappy bracing job and we had trouble in wind. Even a breeze would screw it up. Called them and they got a guy out the next day to fix it...great, just what you would expect.
Fast Forward eight years to last year about this time and we had a horrible east wind storm come up. These are unique to are area being right under a big mtn range. If we get a high pressure system to the east and a low pressure system in the valley we get east winds. This was one of the worst ever. The county shops above my house recorded sustained winds of 120 mph
Besides Losing roofs, windows and siding we also lost our dish. No big surprise, not their fault just bad luck on our part. So I call them dreading what they would say. Every house in a 20 square mile radius had damage. The lady on the phone told me that in my town alone they had over 400 calls.
This is where they made me a customer for life though. Because 8 years before we had a complaint about wind it was flagged in their computer. They sent me to an "elite" customer service center and gave me a personal cell number of the rep handling my case. I called on a Friday, they said the soonest they could help me was on Sunday. Most if their customers had a two to three week wait. Saturday morning I get a call from this rep telling me she found a guy in my area who could be there that afternoon.
This was a year ago and about every three months that rep calls me just to make sure things are working.
So...say what you will, you just can't beat that kind of customer care.

The only reason Charter still has me as a customer is because I don't think I can get anything else here except Verizon DSL (HORRIBLE) and FiOS isn't available here.
They are so incompetent I am not sure they could pour water out of a boot. With the instructions printed on the heel.
I have directv and charter cable internet only.
