coming in from work last night there were 2 Hwy Patrols, 2 sheriff's vehicles and the game warden parked by the gates to one of my fields.....I thought WTF have I done wrong now!! :D Ended up there was a pick up in there with them and he was freaking plowed...they told me later that he was drunk and a manic depressant. Good combo behind the wheel. I am glad that DB did not find anyone head on, especially with my family being that close to our place. I am all about a good time with drinks, but for Christs sake, dont freakin drive drunk.

Cheese "he pee'd his pants too" Man

oh, I know. I'm not suggesting it as a permanent solution, just saying if he had a real transmission, a starter failure would be a minor inconvenience instead of a real breakdown :spin1:

That's very 60's of you Ken. You probably still wash your clothes on a washboard and keep your meat cold with ice in your wooden icebox.

When you get to the point on that obstacle where you really need another gear, but you can't afford to lose your momentum, I bet you just magically shift that manual and climb right up.

I know I do, but all I do is push the pedal down more ;)

I've been denied on obstacles by an AW4 shifting from 1 to 2 when I didn't want it to :eyes: used to wheel an automatic. I prefer a manual.

Also, blew up two autos, haven't killed a manual yet, though I did break a bellhousing in half.

Kim, the cynic in me says are you sure that was the GM? Any way, sounds like they're skating on thin ice without proper training on press operation, even if you end up with just a hangnail.

I need to redo my switches and wiring... Might put my 97 console in and get that ashtray switch panel.

Tc lock, aux fan, 2nd gear lock

Btw, the tcu doesn't like them but has never shifted any different or anything..I'm assuming 91+ would have the same codes.

you just don't use the clutch.....

While I very much love my 5 speed and will always have one in a hardcore trail rig, the auto in the racecar is really nice to wheel.
