Important

My advice is to pull the carrier from the housing, pull the locker out and put the spider/side gears into that carrier, and reinstall the same carrier. Do not just swap the carriers because unless you are extremely lucky you would have to re-set the backlash on the gears since each carrier is a little different and they probably have different shims.

Or if that's what you meant, then ignore me, you got this :)

Good point i didnt think of any of that.

Very easy fix

yes.

order 2 and keep a spare set of pins and springs in the glovebox. That's what fails on those.

I have made the decision to scrap the MJ.

'tis the end of an era of ugly.

It will be stripped and I will look for a new rust free MJ chassis.

Kim has taught me that it's just easier to swap bodies than to fix them.

Keep it, there is some truth that a rig looks like its driver.

Easy fix Aaron! You can get it done before WF!

I haven't given up yet, gonna swap the spare shaft inand see if the passenger unit bearing is causing the noise. Its definitely related to the front end. You can clearly tell its coming from there. If it stops great, if not the locker is the only thing i can think of that is causing the issue.

When you need a welding table, what better excuse to build it?? I got the MillerMatic dialed in and can weld up to 3/16" pretty well now...

I think if I add a diagonal sheet of steel underneath, it should be good for Plasma Cutting as well...

I should make something like that, really don't have room for it.

Thats the beauty,I just used 1/8" angle iron and some scrape 1/4" strips (from what I dunno, but I have a lot of it) and made it the size of two of those grates.... It can easily hold 250-300 pounds...

If you welded the legs to just the outside (short) pieces, and then drilled holes and used bolts/pins, you could make it collapsible... Store it out of the way...
