I plan on trying my hand at appleseed with my 10/22. I have zero interest in owning a .22 pistol though.

Kids do shoot in these matches, but adults use the same kind of guns also. I maybe have seen two or three females actually doing.
This girls name is Choleo and she is quite good and her Ruger MKIII is pretty cool.
Here is a modified Ruger 10/22.
Choleo again with a 15-22 this time.
One reason I love rim fire matches is because you can shoot all day for under 10 dollars even with misses. I will be getting a 10/22 this winter for the matches. Putting the rail on it and then getting a red dot optic. I also plan on getting a four BX-25 Ruger magazines and maybe two or three additional 10 round magazines. I should be in for under 500 starting out. It will be modified and modified later on, but starting out that should be good enough for a year.

You can get into a decent 10/22 for around $350 if you find a built one at a pawn shop like I did but even then adding mags, optics and rails you're looking at well over 500. I haven't even touched the trigger on mine. A Drop in adjustable is gonna cost a bit.
To make one competitive like the guns I'm seeing you're looking at $600+ if I had to guess.

I will get to the point I redo everything, but just looking for something to have fun starting out. The rim fire matches I do doesn't even pay anything, so it is just to get better and beat your previous time. I am sure there is other rim fire matches that pay.

Drove about 300 miles round trip today to pick up this gem.
It was born in 1976...march to be exact. Its an onan 6.5 (6500 watts)...should be plenty to run the trailer. Has the wires and such and the previous owner fired it up and showed me it runs and produces power. It does need a tune up. Its been on that cart for the last 8 years set up as a back up generator...this thing is a beast...twin cylinder, holds 4.5 quarts of oil...should be up to the task of running my trailer for a week in the desert in california in February.

Be sure to not let gas with ethanol sit in the carb when not in use. It will corrode the hell out of it. Love the old Onan engines.

there is a 10kw military generator that a guy has here that hasn't been running in a few years. he said make him an offer. thinking about looking at it tomorrow. don't need it but if i can get it running it might be worth something to someone

The guy that I bought it from, bought it in the current state that its in. Used it as a backup generator for his house. He had owned it for the last eight years.

I love plinking with .22 pistols. If I'm out camping I can shoot all weekend and not even go through half a brick of rounds that cost me $15. My 9mm goes though $15 in about 20 min and my .45 in about half that time. All the while I'm still becoming a better shot.

Helps to have high friends in low places. Just scored a bottle of Surly Darkness (Russian Imperial stout) from a coworker. He camped out at 9:00 pm the night before the release party (which was a party unto itself,) and finally got his bottles around 1:00 PM.
