Important

still alive...made it to nyc safe once again. i think my xj yawned and looked at its watch after i got out of it at my destination. its made the trip enough now that i can probably do it on its own. no major issues other than a big accident in pennsylvania...that and having to hotwire my e-fan at a gas station. the harness side connector seems to be done, so i cut it off and spliced some connectors from a truck stop on both sides. new tires rode well, though i think i finally have a driveline vibe of some sort. i have a really low frequency vibe that seems to be coming from the rear drive shaft...its pretty subtle, but noticable. i do have a hack n tap sye and a front xj shaft with brand new spicer ujoints as of last year, so its possible its the shaft...ive never noticed it before, but it could be that there is no tire shake from the one crappy ass tire that was on there before...

wound up lucking out for the tire install...right before i was ready to leave a guy from the towing place right next to my shop called me about the old j10 steelies i had for sale on clist. he came to pick him up, and i asked him if he knew any place that would do used tires for cheap. turns out he just bought a brand new machine and balance for all the trucks in his shop and exchanged the mount and balance for the rims i was selling for 25 bucks! im pretty sure someone was looking out for me. so i got some temporary rubber in decent shape that i can probably sell for what i paid for them after i get back and pick up a set of 33's...put me a little behind since he was not a tire shop worker and was pretty slow, but he did a good job so im a happy camper :)

I am sure you can find it on a google search.

They support the Sierra Club, I will not buy their beer.

When Fat Tire started being distributed in Indiana in 2009 I had someone tell me this also. I will say that I have not done much more research on it since then, but this is what my reply was then on the subject,

"Based on comments posted this afternoon, I have done some research tonight trying to directly tie the New Belgium Brewery to the Sierra Club. I can't tie them directly too each other. Only this, the brewery is a "green" brewery. Meaning that they do a lot of recycling and other things that make them better for the environment. The Sierra Club supports New Belgium Brewery for their efforts (along with other breweries) to recycle and conserve energy. I can't find anywhere where the brewery directly gives money or has any endorsement to the Sierra Club.

And actually some of the Colorado Sierra Club members have been negative towards New Belgium for broadening their distribution of Fat Tire into other states, they think that it should only be distributed close to home.

If there is a link to show where they directly support Sierra club I would be more than happy to read it and not buy Fat Tire again.

I'm a wheeler, I love to wheel, especially out west, everyone just has to be on their toes on who supports what, cause I'm sure that everything that we, buy, drink, eat, in one way or another supports something, someone, or some policy that we don't agree with."

I have yet to see anything other that folks saying that they support the Sierra Club. No links or articles. I did search Pirate tonight and didn't find anything solid either.

So please, someone show me the link to where they support the Sierra Club...and like I said before, there is bound to be something that we spend money on that supports something that we don't support.

mac 'prefers my diet dr pepper and Jack anyways' gyvr

What in the heck is that event??? There was another news story that there were 65 arrests for all sort of debauchery at it.

Scheid diesel puts on an event every year with vendors, dynos, etc. It seems like every year there is a debate as to whether or not they should keep doing it there, as there are always some problems. Of course it's just a side effect of a lot of the people that are drawn to it (usually just traffic violations from people driving like idiots).

That must explain why my Duramax has been at Scheid in Lafayette all week and last I saw it was still sitting in the parking lot.

I wouldn't take that bet. I don't think there's any way that I'd attend that event, and I'm seriously doubting that I'll ever attend any diesel performance event just due to the dirtbag contingent.

New injectors are getting stuffed in my CTD in the morning. The current injectors are still the original bodies with almost 350k miles, with aftermarket tips for the last 150k miles or so.

Yea, those events and a lot of their attendees don't hold a lot of appeal for me. I'm just speculating if the employees from the shop up here are spending their time down there instead of working on my junk. I need a fuel pressure regulator, which is one of those cheap-part, expensive-labor jobs.

At least your injectors are easy to get to and cheap (compared to common rail ones at least). Assuming you're doing it yourself since you've had them out a couple times before?
